Own and grow enterprise customer accounts across investment banking, asset management, and real estate. Drive product adoption by building workflows, configuring integrations, teaching users, managing expectations, and resolving adoption challenges. Serve as the customer and product liaison while identifying renewal and expansion opportunities. The role is remote within the US, requires on-site customer work one week in four, and involves frequent collaboration with technical and executive stakeholders.

We're hiring a Senior Technical Account Manager to own our most important US customers. You'll be the person they trust to understand their work, build with them, tell them the truth about what the product can do, and turn one successful team into a firm-wide habit.

About Us

Fifth Dimension builds AI software for the firms that invest in and manage real assets. We help people work with complex documents and business data, from leases and financial models to investment memos. We're a Series A company with offices in London, New York and Singapore.

Our values are Own It, Ship It and Don't Be Boring. We move quickly, challenge each other kindly and care about making something customers actually use.

What This Role Is
  • A senior individual-contributor role owning a small number of enterprise accounts: investment banks, asset managers and REITs with real money on the line.

  • Hands-on. You build skills and workflows in 5D with customers, then teach their teams to build their own.

  • On site one week in four. You go to the customer, wherever in the US they are.

  • Commercially aware. You know what the renewal needs to look like a year before it happens, and you hand expansion signals to Account Management early.

The Challenge

A signed contract is not an adopted product. A customer's analysts need to connect their data, finish a real piece of work in the platform and come back the next day to do it again. In an investment bank that means working around IT, security, scepticism and a very expensive incumbent process.

Imagine a brokerage has fifty analysts licensed and six using the product. The MD wants us to build a bespoke feature; what the analysts actually need is a connector switched on and a lease-abstraction workflow they can trust. You spend three days in their office, build the workflow with two of them, get IT to turn on the connector, and write the note to the MD explaining why that is the plan. Three weeks later, usage has doubled and you know which team is next.

What You'll Do
  • Own the success of named enterprise accounts: adoption, health, expectations and the plan for each one.

  • Build with customers: the first skills, templates and workflows for their deal, asset-management or finance teams, in the product, side by side with them.

  • Teach: run enablement in person and remotely until customers build and maintain their own workflows.

  • Manage expectations: keep the scope honest, push back on bespoke asks, and get the things we need from the customer (data, connectors, time, champions).

  • Be the product's voice in the account and the account's voice in the product: clear reproductions to engineering, clear priorities to the founders.

  • Travel: one week in four on customer sites across the US.

About You

You have run enterprise accounts at a software company and your customers had numbers. You can explain an IRR to an analyst without a cheat sheet. You have built things on technical platforms and you use AI every day in your own work. You are comfortable telling a senior client no, and comfortable sitting with a junior one for an afternoon until it works.

You may have started in finance or banking before moving into technology. You may have been a solutions engineer or implementation lead who grew into owning the relationship. What you have not done is spend a career in slide decks.

What We're Looking For
  • Several years owning enterprise customers at a technology business: account management, customer success or implementation.

  • Fluency in financial concepts: IRR, NOI, cap rates, waterfalls, the vocabulary of investment and real estate teams.

  • Hands-on technical capability: configuring, integrating or building on software platforms, with examples you can show us.

  • Daily, critical use of AI tools and a clear view of their limits.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication, including examples of hard customer conversations you handled.

  • Willingness to travel one week in four within the US.

Nice to Have
  • Financial services or investment banking experience before moving into tech.

  • Commercial real estate exposure: investment managers, brokers, lenders or REITs.

  • Pre-sales, solutions or forward-deployed experience in an AI or data product.

Your First Few Months

Month 1. You have been on site with at least one account, built your first customer skill and written your first account plan. You can explain our product and its limits to an MD.

Month 3. Your accounts have named champions, live connectors and weekly completed work in the platform. You have handled at least one scope conversation and one adoption problem without escalating to a founder.

Month 6. Utilisation on your accounts is at or above target, the expansion pipeline is real and dated, and customers are building their own workflows. You and Erin set targets from the starting baseline.

Compensation and Benefits

Base $160,000–$180,000 depending on location and experience, plus a performance bonus of up to 15% of base and meaningful equity. Remote within the US, with travel costs covered.

  • US health, dental and life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

  • Generous paid time off and a two-week company shutdown in December.

  • Enhanced parental leave: 14 weeks for the primary caregiver and six for the secondary caregiver.

  • Direct access to the founders and ownership of accounts that matter from the start.

One More thing

When applying, send one real example of a hard customer conversation you handled in writing (anonymised), and one thing you built on a technical platform that a customer used. Describe to us and record a Loom/video to supplement it.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
