Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Planning Analyst, Therapeutic Dermatology
Location: Dallas, TX or Boston, MA
Position Summary
The Senior Supply Planning Analyst executes supply planning oversight for the Rx Business Unit (BU), ensuring optimal inventory levels, minimizing disruptions, and improving supply chain efficiency for all products under the BU. This includes but is not limited to trade units, samples, reworks and new products. This role works closely with suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, customer service and logistics teams.
Essential Functions
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Develop and manage supply plans to align with business forecasts, sales trends, and market demand.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels, working capital, and cost efficiency.
- Implement strategies to minimize stockouts, overstock, and excess inventory risks.
- Lead supply and demand balancing meetings to align cross-functional teams on inventory and production needs.
- Establish efficient and effective planning processes by leveraging industry best practices, including weekly and monthly operating rhythms, quarterly business reviews, project updates, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic deep dives with internal and external partners.
- Execute strategic plans related to Supply Planning activities, identifying key initiatives and driving implementation, including partner strategy and contract negotiations.
- Contributes to an effective S&OP process by active and constructive facilitation and participation according to Best Practice.
Process Optimization & Analytics
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track order cuts, service levels, and inventory turnover.
- Implement best practices in supply planning, leveraging technology and automation to drive efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management and reduce waste.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with demand planning, procurement, ESO, and manufacturing teams (external & internal) to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Work closely with logistics, customer service and distribution teams to optimize fulfillment strategies.
- Support new product launches by coordinating supply planning activities with marketing and product teams.
- Act as a liaison between commercial and operational teams to align business goals with supply chain execution
- Lead, negotiate, and influence in a highly matrixed environment that has significant interaction with other functional teams, including (but not limited to): US BU Head, Finance, Sales/Marketing, Legal, Logistics and Customer Service, Procurement, Global Operations, Manufacturing, and third parties
External Stakeholder Management activities
- Ensure speed to market through effective coordination of innovation and renovation projects asked by the BUs, optimizing and improving inventory availability and capacity planning, ensuring flexibility to meet ad hoc customer requirements
- Create and maintain operational scorecards & conduct Tier 1 meetings with external partners (suppliers, CDMOs, 3PLs, etc.) as needed to enable ownership of actions and decision making, ensuring contractual obligations are clear and service level agreements are being met and audited
- Conduct activities within budget constraints and ensure adequate and timely management of external resources.
Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 5 years+ of experience in supply chain planning & inventory mgt in pharma, biotech, med device or similar regulated industry
- Strong understanding of forecasting & planning processes and effective planning tools.
- Interpersonal & presentation skills, able to manage multiple projects and work with diverse teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams
- Demonstrable advanced/expert proficiency in Excel techniques and statistical analysis; experience with “Vlookups”/ PivotTables.
- Experience in MRP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement and scalability.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
- APICS/ASCM certification preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- This position is primarily office-based, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel up to 10-20% may be required to visit manufacturing sites, suppliers, or other company locations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms.
- The work environment is generally quiet, with occasional exposure to manufacturing or logistics settings during site visits.
