About the Role & Responsibilities
This role involves providing academic and holistic success advising to an assigned cohort of undergraduate students across multiple schools. You'll bring best practices in student success and persistence to your daily work, building strong, trusting relationships with students from diverse backgrounds. Your work is key to ensuring students persist, graduate on time, and successfully transition through academic milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized, proactive academic advising to an assigned student caseload via appointments and outreach.
- Monitor student progress toward key academic milestones (major declaration, graduation, core completion).
- Support and coach academically at-risk students to improve success and persistence.
- Develop and implement advising programs and initiatives that support departmental strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with academic departments and health/wellness services to coordinate proactive student care.
- Apply current theories in academic advising and student identity development to daily work.
- Maintain accurate records and utilize SIS and predictive analytics systems effectively.
What You'll Bring

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in higher education with a strong professional interest in academic advising and student success/persistence.
- Experience and/or strong professional interest in advising a diverse student population (including students who identify as Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and/or Asian Pacific Islander).
- Empathy, listening skills, and a desire to work in a progressive, student-centered office.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and use technology/software programs (SIS/predictive analytics focus).
- Strong desire to work as part of a team and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
- Some evening, weekend, and holiday hours required

Hiring Range: $60,000 to $72,000; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
