Who We AreConstruction is the backbone of modern society, and specialty contractors are its unsung heroes. At Autodesk, we are on a mission to give specialty contractors the tools and support they need to thrive in an increasingly complex and fast-paced industry. Autodesk Construction Cloud simplifies workflows, enhances communication, and bridges the gap between specialty contractors and their general contractor partners. We believe technology should make construction smarter—not harder—and we are looking for a dynamic Senior Strategy Manager, Specialty Contractors (Field Operations) to help lead the charge. This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to reshape how specialty contractors work, innovate, and succeed. The RoleThis isn’t your typical desk job. As Senior Strategy Manager, Specialty Contractors (Field Operations), you will be the expert voice advocating for specialty contractors, ensuring our solutions solve their most pressing challenges in the field.  You will be in the trenches (figuratively and sometimes literally), connecting with specialty contractors to understand their daily challenges and drive initiatives that translate those insights into actionable product and go-to-market strategies. Your role will also focus on evaluating whether we should build solutions internally, partner with other industry players, or acquire existing technologies to achieve our strategic goals. From identifying pain points to rolling out impactful solutions, this is an opportunity to drive innovation and make an enduring impact on one of the most critical segments that keeps construction running. What You Will DoAs Senior Strategy Manager, Specialty Contractors (Field Operations) you will take the lead in developing strategies that directly impact the operational success of specialty contractors on Autodesk Construction Cloud. Your role will require a balance of big-picture vision and hands-on execution. Whether it’s crafting new operational workflows, designing go-to-market strategies, or ensuring seamless collaboration between our product teams and specialty contractors, you will be at the heart of empowering the people who build our world. Here’s how you will make an impact:Market Insight and Analysis

  • Monitor emerging trends in construction technology, labor shortages and shifting regulatory landscapes to uncover new opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Analyze competitor offerings to identify gaps and areas for differentiation, ensuring our solutions for the field remain industry-leading and customer-focused.
  • Translate market and customer insights into actionable recommendations for product development and go-to-market strategies.

Customer-Centric Advocacy

  • Engage directly with field teams at specialty contractors to gather insights, validate solutions, and foster relationships.
  • Act as the internal voice of project managers, superintendents, and foremen, ensuring their needs shape our product development and strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success) to champion a shared vision for field operations excellence.

Industry Engagement

  • Act as a thought leader and trusted partner for specialty contractors, representing Autodesk at conferences, webinars, and customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with customers and industry experts through product advisory groups and other forums to validate solutions and gather feedback.
  • Build relationships with field-focused technology start-ups targeting specialty contractors and grow our ecosystem of third-party partners integrating with Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Engineer the Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive field-focused strategy for specialty contractors and drive increased engagement on Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Build business cases for product and go-to-market expansion through either organic and/or inorganic methods and backed by data and customer feedback.
  • Monitor and measure the success of strategic initiatives through established KPIs, changing course as needed.

Who You AreYou are equal parts strategist, field operations expert, and specialty contractor advocate thriving at the intersection of technology, strategy, and construction. You are willing to dive deep into the nuances of field workflows and help specialty contractors tackle their toughest operational challenges, identify opportunities for innovation, and craft strategies that bring real-world value. Moreover, you are as comfortable analyzing data in a spreadsheet or creating a presentation as you are walking a job site. Here's what we are looking for:

  • Experience: 5+ years in construction, strategy, management consulting, or related fields, ideally with a focus on field operations at a specialty contractor. We love MBAs for their ability to structure chaos, but if you’ve earned your stripes in the school of experience, we are all ears.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of specialty contractor field workflows and challenges is a must (bonus points if you have worked at an MEP contractor and can still spot the difference between a conduit and a pipe at 50 feet).
  • Data-Driven Storyteller: You know how to turn market data into actionable insights—and actionable insights into inspiring strategies.
  • Customer Obsessed: Skilled at listening to and understanding customer pain points and translating them into impactful solutions.
  • Collaborative Leader: Proven ability to work across teams, influence without authority, and rally diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Effective Communicator: You can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling stories for executives, customers, and internal teams.
  • Agile Thinker: Comfortable shifting gears and recalibrating in the face of new information.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a company transforming how the world builds.
  • Work with a team of curious, driven, and hilarious humans who value ideas as much as they value fun.
  • Enjoy competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities.
  • Make a tangible impact on an industry that shapes our cities, communities, and lives.
