About the Role

In order for the global energy system to make the transition from a carbon-based grid, to a renewable energy grid, large scale energy storage must be introduced into the electricity system to balance intra-hour supply and demand. Energy storage is the enabler of high penetration variable renewable generation like solar and wind.
The Senior Associate on the Business Operations & Strategic Analytics team will work under the guidance of the Director, Business Operations & Strategic Analytics. The Senior Associate will play a critical role in supporting data management, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This position will focus on streamlining the company’s data assets, developing analytics tools that enable a best-in-class development process, and creating streamlined financial reports and operational performance insights. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with business data, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that streamline workflows and enable visibility into the organization's data assets and finances.
- Drive efforts to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by working with internal teams to align on data management and quality control best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Development, Legal, EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), Commercial, Asset Operations and Performance, Data Science and Software Engineering, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven decision-making.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate workflows, reduce manual reporting efforts, and enhance operational efficiency using modern data tools and AI-driven solutions.
- Develop, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to support project tracking and strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to strategic analytics, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum BA/BS in economics, finance, data science, business, or related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data-focused role.
- Ability to synthesize and present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, high-quality results.
- Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail.
- Advanced experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Query, SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Power Apps or other low-code programming tools.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Fabric or other end-to-end data management platforms.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio or other AI agent development platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools and applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Compensation, Location, and Benefits
Highly competitive total compensation from one of North America’s leading energy storage developers, owners, and operators. Flexible, work from home or hybrid work from Plus Power’s offices in San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Birmingham and Palm Beach.
The expected salary range* for this position begins at $110,000. We may pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic labor market, and other factors consistent with applicable law. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program.
