Design and build agentic AI-powered marketing infrastructure and automation. Architect integrations with CRM, ecommerce, and content systems, deploy production AI workflows, set technical standards, and partner cross-functionally to scale marketing operations and enable new capabilities.
Who We Are
Audicus is a health-tech company based in New York City. We are changing the hearing aid industry with a leading telehealth solution that streamlines the hearing care experience from user testing to product delivery - both for consumers and providers. We are highly mission-driven and have reconnected, transformed and empowered tens of thousands of lives to date
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior Marketing Engineer to architect the technical foundation of a modern, AI-powered marketing organization.
This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned software engineer who has moved deep into agentic systems and AI infrastructure to apply that expertise in a high-impact, cross-functional role. You'll be the technical backbone of the marketing org—designing and building the systems, workflows, and automation infrastructure that allow a lean team to operate at the speed and scale of one ten times its size.
You won't just be maintaining tools. You'll be building intelligent solutions on top of them—identifying where agentic AI can unlock new capabilities within our existing platforms, eliminate bottlenecks, and create opportunities that weren't previously possible. Your work will directly shape how we acquire, engage, and retain customers across our direct-to-consumer, retail, and B2B/B2B2C channels.
This is an individual contributor role with significant organizational reach. You'll lead through influence, partnering closely with engineering, operations, B2B, and marketing leadership to design solutions that benefit the entire company—not just one team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Agentic Infrastructure & AI Systems
● Architect and deploy agentic workflows that automate high-volume, repeatable marketing operations—from lead management and campaign execution to content production and reporting.
● Build intelligent solutions within our existing marketing platforms—extending what tools like our CRM, asset/content creation, and ecommerce stack can do by layering agentic and AI capabilities on top of them.
● Identify where AI can create new opportunities within existing workflows, not just streamline them—surfacing capabilities the team didn't previously have.
● Evaluate and integrate AI tooling across the marketing stack, ensuring systems are extensible, reliable, and built for long-term use.
● Define the technical standards and architectural patterns that govern how the marketing org builds and automates going forward.
● Stay ahead of the rapidly evolving agentic AI landscape and translate emerging capabilities into practical solutions with measurable impact.
Technical Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Partner with marketing leadership to build a technical roadmap aligned with business priorities and growth targets, including a clear framework for evaluating where to build custom solutions versus leveraging existing platform capabilities.
● Identify operational bottlenecks across the marketing org and design scalable, intelligent solutions to address them.
● Serve as the primary technical liaison between Marketing and the broader engineering organization, ensuring marketing systems are built to company-wide standards.
● Partner with operations and B2B teams to extend marketing automation solutions into adjacent business functions.
● Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders, and translate business requirements into well-scoped engineering solutions.
● Mentor and elevate the technical capabilities of the broader marketing team over time.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
● 10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant depth in backend systems, APIs, and data infrastructure.
● Demonstrated experience designing and deploying agentic AI systems and automation frameworks in a production environment.
● Strong command of modern AI tooling and a proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and operationalize new technologies quickly.
● Familiarity with marketing technology ecosystems—including CRM platforms, email/SMS tools, and ecommerce systems—and experience building solutions that extend their native capabilities.
● Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and business teams; comfortable leading through influence without direct authority.
● Strong systems thinker with a bias toward simplicity, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
● Excellent communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical audiences with ease.
● Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable operating with ambiguity, moving quickly, and building from the ground up.
● Experience in DTC, consumer tech, or health-tech a plus. Early-stage or high-growth company experience strongly preferred.
We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you are excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply.
