Job Description:

The Senior Specialist-Product Marketing is responsible for the lifecycle management and commercial success of high-reliability discrete semiconductor products serving the Aerospace and Defense market. Working closely with engineering, operations, quality, sales, and key customers, the Senior Specialist-Product Marketing develops pricing strategies, executes product launch plans, and supports customer engagement activities to maximize revenue growth and market penetration. The role is responsible for monitoring financial performance, managing product profitability, and ensuring products meet the long-term supply, reliability, and qualification requirements of military, space, avionics, and industrial applications.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategies for maximizing market share, revenue, and profit for specific market sectors.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and applications engineering to lead, prepare, and execute go-to-market launch strategies for new products.
  • Have global responsibility of pricing strategy. Review and approve special price requests. Negotiate volume purchasing agreements with customers.
  • Work closely with corporate MARCOM team to develop product promotion initiatives, campaigns, and marketing collateral for existing products to generate new opportunities and revenue growth.
  • Work with corporate website manager to maintain and update website content to ensure the product information remains accurate, current and user-friendly.
  • Effectively track, report and present business metrics for your portfolio including billings, backlog and inventory data.
  • Own revenue and product forecasting to ensure the business projections are met and assist with SIOP process.
  • Handle product lifecycle management to ensure ramp-up, sustenance and ramp down of products within the portfolio.
  • Customer engagement at a strategic level when required on escalations or custom projects.  

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor related roles of Product Management / Program Management / Marketing  with a B.S. degree in Business, or equivalent field; MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent data analytics skills and focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Experience setting and shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control of the expected product outcome.
  • The ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to arrive at mutually agreeable decisions affecting regional business situations
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work independently or in a team environment as needed.
  • Strong understanding of web and native advertisement technology, standard display ads and related ad monetization strategies.
  • Team player with an ability to work collaboratively across geographies and functions.

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $46,000-$128,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
