Role Overview
The Market Administrator (MA) provides administrative and operational support to NYL's Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) Sales and Client Management teams. This role supports the presale process, proposal coordination, reporting activities, and administrative workflows while helping ensure timely and accurate support for internal teams, brokers, and clients.
What You'll Do
  • Support the RFP/RFI presale process, including submission preparation, timeline tracking, and communication coordination.
  • Scrub and submit RFPs to Underwriting for rating and assist with gathering required proposal information.
  • Manage calendars, deadlines, and meeting invitations related to proposal activity and sales opportunities.
  • Create and maintain opportunity folders and organize proposal documentation and communications.
  • Enter and maintain account and opportunity information within Salesforce and related tracking tools.
  • Submit proposal requests and RFP/RFI questionnaires to appropriate internal teams.
  • Coordinate proposal questions and assist with collecting responses from subject matter experts.
  • Support Underwriting and Sales teams with proposal updates and quote revisions.
  • Maintain proposal documentation and communications within designated shared repositories.
  • Submit and track data analytic requests related to sales opportunities and enrollment
  • Coordinate printing, shipping, and fulfillment activities for business materials and presentations.
  • Manage shared mailboxes and assist with communication workflows across the market.
  • Assist with planning meetings, continuing education events, and market activities.
  • Support onboarding activities for new Sales Representatives and Account Executives, including equipment coordination and system access requests.
  • Provide administrative support for special projects and additional assignments as needed.
  • Serve as backup support for other Market Administrators when necessary.

Salesforce & Data Management
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and proposal information within Salesforce.
  • Support regional tracking and reporting updates related to sales opportunities.

Communication & Team Collaboration
  • Communicate updates and timelines to Sales, Underwriting, Proposal Teams, and additional internal partners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather case-level information required for proposals.
  • Provide responsive and professional support throughout the proposal and presale process.

What You'll Bring
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting Group Benefits, Insurance, Sales Operations, or Client Management environments preferred.
  • Experience in a presale, proposal management, or administrative support role preferred.
  • Health and Life License preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
