OVERVIEW:

As a Dick's Sporting Goods Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst - CAPEX, you will be responsible for assisting the Category Sourcing Manager to define and implement optimal procurement strategies to ensure maximized value within Facilities, Construction, and Visual Merchandising categories. You will be responsible for overseeing (or leading) the Request For (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process in accordance with Dick's Strategic Sourcing process, leading supplier negotiations and building effective supplier relationships.

The Role You'll Play:

  • Work closely with business leaders and assist the Category Sourcing Manager to develop a comprehensive strategic procurement plan. This includes identification and recommendation of optimal procurement strategies through analysis of current spend, contracts and supply base, analysis of supply markets and market trends and identification and understanding of key cost drivers.

  • Lead the Request For (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process in accordance with Dick's Strategic Sourcing Process. This necessitates strong collaboration with business partners.

  • Lead fact-based supplier negotiations and progressive supplier relationship management activities. This includes development and execution of strategy and necessitates strong collaboration between business leaders and clear communication with suppliers.

  • Work collaboratively to facilitate the contract review and negotiation process. 

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the entire procurement team to identify areas of opportunity and change management through continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related Business Field

  • Five to seven years of experience - Data analytics, retail experience preferred

  • CPM/CPSM (Preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Sourcing & procurement technology (Ariba or equivalent)

  • PeopleSoft Financials or equivalent

  • Sharepoint proficiency preferred

  • Advanced sourcing and procurement knowledge with pragmatism to manage expectations

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others - Knowledge of legal contract terminology and general financial skills 

  • Prior experience with Construction and or Facilities space preferred
