The Principal Solutions Consultant will lead sales cycles in the Life Science sector, developing business cases, collaborating with sales teams, and demonstrating Model N solutions to prospects. Responsibilities include conducting discovery sessions, presenting at events, and advocating for Model N's Life Science solutions.
Model N is hiring either a Senior Solutions Consultant or Principal Solutions Consultant to help our rapidly growing life sciences vertical, reporting to the Sr. Director for our Solutions team. This is a unique opportunity for a Solution Consultant that loves a fast-paced environment, solving business challenges and helping us drive growth. The Solutions Consultant is responsible for helping to drive sales cycles and with prospects and partner organizations for Model N’s Life Science Suite. Key activities include driving discovery sessions to analyze prospect business model and value drivers, positing and demonstrating the value of Model N solutions, building relationships with prospects, and being a product specialist and advocate for our Life Science solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive prospect business surveys and discovery sessions to uncover pain/opportunities and the value of improving their current practices
- Develop Business Cases and ROI / Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) documentation
- Configure, present and demonstrate tailored demonstrations to customers and partner based upon customer requirements and data
- Collaborate and work with Sales Executives to engage, design and sell Model N SaaS Solutions in the Life Science industry
- Present and lead marketing and vision presentations at events, conferences and a be an advocate for Model N
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product & Professional services organizations
- Become an expert in Model N solutions and value propositions
Qualifications:
- Experience required in the area of Life Science Revenue Management (Pricing, Contracting, Rebates/incentives, Contract Compliance, Government Pricing, Government Rebates (Medicare/Medicaid), FSS, Channel Management, Market Access)
- A minimum of 6-8+ years of experience in a pre-sales/solution consulting, equivalent professional services, or industry experience in Life Science focused role
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with C-Level executives
- Experience with SQL, Salesforce.com, or other programming platform, and Business Intelligence, AI/ML tools a plus
- Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, Supply Chain, Contract Management and Revenue Management/Order-To-Cash solutions
- Experience in the full lifecycle SaaS sales
- High energy individual with positive attitude who can work as part of a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated track record of goal achievement
- Ability and willingness to travel at least 30%

Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
