Senior Solution Architect – Commercial
The Senior Solutions Architect is an senior-level role focused on ensuring the best design & integration of Nasuni technology for large, enterprise customers and those with demanding use cases. This role is focused on ensuring that customer technical requirements are: explored, understood, and captured to ensure that the proposed solution will meet their needs as well as be successfully implemented to help drive repeat business. As part of maintaining customer satisfaction, some post-sale duties may occasionally be required to resolve customer issues. The Senior Solutions Architect must be a self-starter and always seek opportunities to advance sales and industry presence for Nasuni. Similar titles include: Pre-Sales Engineer and Sales Engineer.
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will…
- Understand and communicate solution messaging at both a technical and business level (storage / data migration / backup / recovery / security solutions)
- Present Nasuni technology (deep dive) to customer technical leaders/experts and explain various use-cases/scenarios.
- Provide Cloud Storage industry expertise and guidance to clients
- Develops strong relationships with prospects – is seen as their advocate and trusted advisor for all things technical as it relates to Nasuni
- Develop and present product demonstrations based on prospective client requirements while mapping them to Nasuni capabilities
- Understand, document, and communicate business value to the prospect
- Have the ability to demystify the POC process for prospects by clearly communicating prerequisites for testing, establishing easy to follow steps required for testing, and then efficiently executing the POC test plan alongside the prospect. Guide prospective clients to the merits and strengths of the Nasuni solution.
- Be a technical leader and evangelist on and for the team. Contribute to blogs, videos, whitepapers, and other content.
- Mentor other SAs in the commercial, procedural, and technical aspects of the sales cycles, including but not limited to: Discovery, Product Presentation & Demonstration, External Technology, Architectural Review, Proof of Technology, Proposal Development, and Administrative Processes
- Interview SA candidates when requested
- Successfully build relationships within the account team, partners, and customers in support of the sales team's objectives.
- Engages and leverages corporate resources, abilities, budgets, and personnel as appropriate.
- Document all prospective client meetings, proof-of-concepts (when needed), and decisions in Salesforce
- Articulate market requests and needs to Engineering and Marketing organizations in a clear, concise manner
- Assist account executives in the development of proposals and RFI/RFP responses for both customers and partners
- Organize communications between teams and external vendors to develop solutions
- Build strong relationships with technical counterparts in the Ecosystem – participates in regional trainings as needed
Required skills + experience we look for are…
- Minimum twelve years of relevant experience in a combination of technical sales for enterprise storage solutions, experience with data center operations, and experience with cloud service providers
- Proven track record in giving sales-oriented presentations to all audience levels from architect to executive in both technical and business settings
- Successful at navigating the sales cycles in a pre-sales/consulting role
- Technical expertise in NAS, Active Directory, Linux, Hypervisors, and Virtualization.
- Knowledge of Cloud Storage Ecosystem (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Data Security.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple prospects and activities concurrently
- Strong and creative problem-solving and analytic skills
- Highly motivated, persuasive, and success driven personality with high attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g. Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Cloud certification for AWS, Azure, or GCP
