Senior Software Engineer

Location: Waltham, MA - Hybrid

You will join the Intralinks Alternative Investments platform team in Waltham. The team designs and builds core components for a distributed fund and content management platform. The platform powers a suite of SaaS applications used by global private equity firms for fundraising, investor onboarding, and fund operations. The core application is highly available, AI-driven, and built for scale.

What You Will Get to Do

• Design and build agentic AI workflows that automate fund operations and investor management tasks
• Integrate LLMs via Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect platform data with AI-driven tooling
• Build and maintain analytics pipelines that surface actionable insights from fund and investor data
• Own your features end-to-end from design through testing, deployment, and production support
• Conduct code reviews and drive quality improvements across the team
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and direct feedback
• Contribute to hiring assessments and performance reviews for the engineering team
• Debug production issues and deliver fixes with proper test coverage
• Build observability and alerting using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Dynatrace
• Follow Agile practices and participate in production support rotations

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or master’s degree with 3+ years in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience owning full-stack features in a SaaS environment from concept to production
• Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy

• Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript (Node.js), Python, Java
• Frameworks: React, Spring Boot, Express, Flask
• APIs and Protocols: REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Protobuf, AsyncAPI
• Data Stores: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis
• Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, Terraform / OpenTofu
• Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace
• Source Control: Git (Monorepo with Turborepo or Nx)

AI & Emerging Tech
We build AI-powered features into our platform. Strong candidates will bring:

• Experience integrating LLMs or AI APIs into production systems
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks or Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Hands-on use of AI-powered development tools to improve productivity

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 140,000 USD to 150,000 USD.
