The Role

The Long-Term Stock Exchange is seeking a talented and motivated developer to join its Engineering team, where they will play a key role in advancing a range of initiatives. This role focuses on enhancing LTSE’s data platform and analytical capabilities to support decision-making across product and business development functions. Working closely with engineers, product specialists, and business teams, you will design and implement solutions that transform datasets into actionable intelligence.


Responsibilities 

  • Combine the best of LTSE proprietary software with cloud solutions and modern programming languages to provide scalable applications that help our business teams gain new insights.
  • Adopt a security-focused, cloud-native, and minimum complexity approach to event-driven and high-throughput compute operations.
  • Continuously employ organization-wide Engineering Standards ensuring compliance with Policy, Procedure, and industry regulation.
  • Comprehensive documentation of all Engineering systems.
  • Collaborate with the broader Engineering team via Jira, Confluence, and other productivity tools.
  • Convert Python scripting to fully tested Go software.
  • Work with Architect to continuously improve organization-wide software engineering standards, policy and procedure.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, checklists, and archival processes for billing artifacts and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Abilities 

  • Full stack developer
  • Golang, Python, shell scripting
  • 3 Years experience in FinTech, or equivalent regulated environment
  • Extensive experience with common in-memory data structures and associated algorithms
  • Extensive experience with cloud-native storage platforms (S3, SQL Services)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)

Preferred Skills/Abilities 

  • High-Throughput (Batch) Processing
  • Event-Driven systems and messaging protocols
  • Protocols (TCP/UDP, FIX, Protocol Buffers)
  • Cloud networking (VPC, NAT, service endpoints)

Education

  • BS Computer Science or equivalent experience

LTSE's Compensation Philosophy 

The target salary range for this role is $190,000 - $230,000 with an anticipated midpoint of $215,000.

Base compensation is part of a total rewards package including stock options and benefits, and may include additional performance incentives. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using multiple databases including Pave, Radford, McLagan, and other peersets, to ensure competitive and fair pay.

To determine the compensation for the role, we use a data-driven, blended rate approach to ensure we are paying competitively among our peers by benchmarking to companies of similar size and stage, and hire at the 50th percentile (midpoint) of the salary range.
