Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)
About Accuris:
Accuris is the global leader in engineering intelligence, trusted by the world's most innovative companies to accelerate design, reduce risk, and ensure supply chain resilience. Formed in 2023 through the combination of S&P Engineering Solutions (formerly part of IHS Markit) and Techstreet, Accuris brings together six decades of authority in engineering standards, technical content, and workflow technology. Our solutions serve critical industries including aerospace & defense, energy, electronics, automotive, and advanced manufacturing.
Position Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a cross-functional product pod (engineering, product, UX, architecture, and developer enablement). You'll build and evolve full-stack services and UIs, shape technical direction, and ship meaningful features used by global customers.
Impact you'll have in your first 6-12 months:
  • Ship high-impact features used by enterprise engineering teams
  • Improve service reliability and performance with measurable SLOs
  • Reduce lead time for changes via CI/CD and test automation
  • Mentor peers and raise the bar on code quality and design

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native, web-based applications and services running on Kubernetes (with a strong focus on usability, performance, and operability).
  • Lead end-to-end development on the .NET stack (.NET Core) with modern front-end frameworks (Angular or React).
  • Create clean, well-tested REST APIs and event-driven integrations; automate quality with unit/integration tests and CI.
  • Deploy, monitor, and scale services on AWS; contribute to infrastructure as code and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with product and UX to refine requirements, break down work, and deliver iteratively in Agile/Scrum.
  • Promote engineering best practices (DDD, SOLID, code reviews, testing, observability, CI/CD) and mentor teammates.
  • Contribute to technical design docs and architecture reviews; drive continuous improvement across the pod.

Our Environment (you don't need every box - just a strong core and curiosity):
  • Core: C#/.NET (Core), ASP.NET, Web API/gRPC, REST
  • Front end: React or Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS (Tailwind/Bootstrap)
  • Cloud & runtime: AWS, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Linux; IaC (Terraform/CDK)
  • Data & search: MS SQL Server, SQLite; plus experience with at least one of Cassandra or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
  • DevEx & quality: Git, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), test automation, OpenTelemetry, feature flags
  • Nice to have: WCF (legacy touchpoints), messaging/event buses, distributed tracing/observability

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Hands-on .NET Core experience building production services and APIs.
  • Experience building microservices and deploying to AWS (or another major cloud).
  • Solid grasp of software design and architecture (DDD, modular boundaries, API design).
  • Proficiency with a modern front-end framework (Angular or React).
  • Strong testing habits and CI/CD experience.
  • Collaborative mindset and clear communication; ability to lead projects within a team.
  • Kubernetes in production (Helm, scaling, rollout strategies, runtime debugging).
  • Observability practices (metrics, logs, traces; e.g., OpenTelemetry).
  • Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or Cassandra at scale.
  • Security-minded development (OWASP, authn/z, secrets, least privilege).
  • Performance tuning and cost optimization in cloud environments.

Compensation/Benefits Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan as well as comprehensive benefits. For more information on benefits, please reach out to the recruiter assigned to the role.
