Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong years' experience of Data Warehousing and ETL
- Deep understanding of Data warehousing concepts
- Strong years' experience on Informatica PowerCenter platform (specifically version 10.x), as well as process and workflow tuning and optimization.
- Strong years' experience in working with Oracle PL/SQL procedures
- Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
- Expertise in using partitioning, transformations, incremental caching in Informatica toolset
- Expert understanding of slowly changing dimensions (SCD's) in Informatica.
- Expert understanding of join logic and query optimization in Informatica
- Experience with stored procedures, Triggers, PL/SQL in Oracle.
- Expert in writing efficient Analytic and windowing functions in Oracle.
- Willingness to upskill to the latest technology stack including Python, Spark, Java, Bigdata
- Extensive Business and/or technical background in the areas of Data modeling, EDW, Data Mart, Master Data Management, Metadata management, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data integration (ETL) and Data Security
- Carry out data modeling, including evolution from conceptual to physical models using a tool like ERWIN
- Define data profiling and analysis criteria and development of data quality metrics
- Proficiency in Linux and shell scripts, job scheduling.
- Experience in Python, Spark, Java, BigData
- Banking/ Financial Services Experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Agile delivery methodology
- Good analytical & debugging skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
- Database query design and optimization
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners
- Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
