PetPlace, a subsidiary of IPH, is building a digital first pet e-commerce platform with the aim of connecting key market services such as adoption, lost pet and insurance to make pet care easy.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will analyzes, develop, create, and modify software solutions to meet organizational needs, including solutions for mobile applications and other product offerings.
Day to Day tasks:
Analyzes and modifies existing software as well as design, construct, and test end-user applications.
Participates in full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis and design.
Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Supports, maintains, and documents software functionality.
Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revise programs, as needed.
Participates in reviews to ensure the code is high quality based on reliability, efficiency, security, maintainability, and size.
Participates in agile ceremonies.
Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify individual business requirements.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Level Specific Responsibilities:
Represents the technology team in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify business requirements and to provide alternatives.
Architects, defines, and develops software engineering effort on full range of applications based on business needs and requirements.
Generates artifacts such as architectural roadmaps, detailed designs, and necessary documentation to support the development of applications.
Shares knowledge and mentors Software Engineers regarding design principles, implementation techniques, emerging technologies, and trends.
Researches and identifies application opportunities around performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Accountability/Complexity:
May manage projects requiring the responsibility of delegating work and reviewing resulting work product.
May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.
May function as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor/manager.
