The Role
This is a full-time, remote position working as a full-stack developer in our engineering department, who will help build and extend our microservices platform. You will thrive equally working to empower mobile engineers or wiring up React screens for the APIs you’ve built. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of these back-end systems in a cloud environment that will power our web and mobile applications. As a part of a geographically dispersed remote team, you will cooperate closely with software engineers from the United States and Prague.
This role is located in the greater Boston, MA area.
You Must:
- Be able to work efficiently, both independently and in small teams, with excellent communication skills (a must in a remote environment)
- Be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who approaches challenges with enthusiasm
- Have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to methodically dissect unfamiliar systems
- Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design
- Design systems to meet user needs and business goals (i.e. know when to build extensibly and when to make trade-offs)
- Thrive in a startup environment - core hours are required, along with occasional evenings related to major sporting events
- Be excited to work with the latest AI tools and technologies to push the limits of developer and team efficiency
You Have:
- 4+ years of experience in the development of API driven applications at scale
- A computer science degree or equivalent experience
- Mastery of NodeJS leveraging TypeScript
- Strong experience working with ReactJS and relevant frameworks
- Deep understanding of relational databases and proficiency with SQL
- Experience building scalable applications in a cloud environment (familiarity with AWS and underlying services a plus)
- Mastery of automated testing, Git version control, and other software development tools
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Compensation & Benefits
As a Splash team member, you’ll receive a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes:
- A competitive annual salary range of $140-170k. This range may be modified, and final compensation may vary based on work experience and skill level
