Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer working in the Bose Software Organization with a focus on Automotive Systems, you will be part of the team developing tools that enable Bose tuning engineers to deliver incredible, immersive in-cabin audio experiences. The work focuses on advancing our real-time audio prototyping platform architecture used for tuning automotive systems. You will be responsible for:
- Lead multidisciplinary efforts to help translate ideas from applied research through to production tuning environments
- Design and Develop infrastructure and applications to support prototyping and tuning on linux based PCs (Ubuntu image)
- Collect, Develop, and Maintain infrastructure to help validate our systems
- Document and train other developers and tuning engineers on new features and releases
- Help champion technical and feature roadmaps with buy-in from applied research, advanced development, and production teams
- Contribute to a thriving, collaborative, team-oriented environment
About You
- BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Deep experience with Linux based systems for application development, administration, and deployment
- Familiarity with multi-threaded, real time audio processing
- Comfort with multiple programming languages - Python, C/C++, etc…
- Familiarity with networking (sockets, TCP/IP, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and software/hardware debugging ability.
- Systems level integration and testing
- Embedded software development
- Familiarity with audio interfaces such as ADAT, A2B, MADI, Audio over Ethernet
- Automotive industry experience
- MATLAB / Simulink
- FPGA development
