Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Rust

Location: Bay Area or Remote

Job Summary:

WitnessAI is a fast-growing SaaS startup on a mission to enable enterprises to adopt AI, safely. We're building a product that provides security and governance guardrails for public and private LLMs. We are looking for a Senior SWE to join our Network Security team to assist in building a revolutionary security product.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Rust and have a high degree of comfort with advanced concepts (async programming, real time data processing pipelines, efficient memory management).

  • Experience in network software development with strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, Websockets, JSON, etc).

  • Protocol/low level knowledge of TLS, Key Management and Network Security technologies (DLP, VPN, SIEM)

  • Experience with high-traffic infrastructure, including proficiency with monitoring (service-specific metrics, logs, and traces), unix network debugging, and proactively addressing performance and reliability concerns.

  • Experience with packet inspection tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, tshark to gain insights into network traffic.

  • Experience with Golang and its ecosystem. Preferably in cloud-native development.

$170,000-$190,000
