About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in (EFT) Enterprise Functions Technology's (QE) Quality Engineering Group. The mission of the QE team is to drive quality across the EFT portfolio by building innovative software solutions that enhance reliability, scalability, and security. This includes developing reusable automation frameworks, tracking developer metrics, leveraging AI/ML for vulnerability detection, and automating quality assessments using large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with a strong background in software development and a passion for building tools that improve software quality and engineering productivity.

$100,000.00 - $196,000.00

In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within the software engineering domain focused on quality.
- Design and develop reusable software components and automation frameworks to support quality engineering efforts.
- Build systems to track developer productivity and quality metrics (e.g., DORA metrics, code commits, defect rates).
- Leverage AI/ML models to identify and track application vulnerabilities and support automated remediation.
- Develop solutions for automated NFR and other quality assessment and evidencing using LLMs.
- Integrate engineering solutions into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Stay current with industry trends and organizational standards in software engineering and quality practices.
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 3+ years of strong programming experience in frontend (JS based) or backend (Java, Python, or C#).
- 2+ years of experience with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with LLMs or generative AI technologies in enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with developer productivity metrics and tools.
- Experience working in SCRUM or other Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
