YOUR MISSION

About the Organisation & Role:

You will be part of the Consumer Intelligence & Engagement organisation responsible for delivering the intelligence and engagement capabilities that enable more relevant and personalised consumer experiences across digital channels. The organisation plays a key role in how consumers discover products, engage with content, and elevate experiences through membership & loyalty. Through capabilities such as personalisation, recommendations, consumer intelligence, experimentation, and AI-driven decisioning, the organisation helps deliver more contextual, data-driven interactions across the consumer journey.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will own quality strategy, test automation and test execution for personalisation and recommendation capabilities. You will work closely with Software Engineers, Tech Leads, Product Owners and Data Engineering teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. Your focus will be building scalable automation, validating AI powered consumer experiences, improving engineering quality and enabling fast, reliable releases.

What you will do:

  • Define and drive quality strategy & standards for personalisation, recommendation, experimentation, and consumer intelligence capabilities.
  • Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks covering API, integration, contract, functional and E2E testing.
  • Embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle by partnering closely with Software Engineers, Tech Leads, Product Owners and Data Engineering teams.
  • Validate recommendation outputs, personalisation rules, consumer segmentation, experimentation journeys through automated & manual test suite.
  • Establish test data, test environments and quality validation approaches for personalised consumer journeys.
  • Drive shift-left quality practices through automation, quality gates, CI/CD integration and risk based testing.
  • Ensure quality and consistency across browsers, devices, and digital consumer journeys.
  • Leverage AI-assisted quality engineering practices to improve test coverage, regression efficiency, defect detection and engineering productivity.
  • Define quality metrics, test coverage goals and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
  • Coach engineers on test automation, quality practices and continuous improvement.

YOUR TALENT
  •  7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Strategy and Test Automation.
  • Strong experience designing and scaling automation frameworks for modern digital platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Selenium or equivalent automation frameworks.
  • Strong experience in API, integration, contract, E2E, regression and release validation testing.
  • Experience building automated quality pipelines integrated with CI/CD processes.
  • Experience validating personalisation, recommendations and experimentation platforms.
  • Experience with test data management, consumer segmentation and data quality validation.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
  • Experience validating recommendation outputs, business rules and consumer-facing experiences.
  • Experience with observability setup for quality engineering and production quality analytics preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence engineering quality across multiple teams.
  • Experience using coding agents, AI-assisted testing tools or LLMs to improve testing productivity and quality outcomes.
  • Experience in eCommerce, retail, consumer digital products, personalisation or recommendation platforms is strongly preferred.
