Job Description

The team you will join: Fraud Handling

Join the Fraud Handling team, where we are dedicated to fighting financial crime and enhancing the customer experience during fraud investigations. Our mission is to streamline processes, improve tooling, and create a seamless experience for both agents and customers. We are at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to tackle fraud, using cutting-edge technology and AI-driven investigations to enhance accuracy and reduce costs.

Our vision is:

  • Create an automated, efficient fraud investigation experience that minimises friction for both customers and agents.

  • Optimize agent workflows and queue structures to improve resolution speed and operational efficiency.

  • Foster a strong partnership between our fraud investigators and the product team to develop solutions that leverage the expertise of fraud prevention specialists.

  • Implement AI-driven investigations to enhance accuracy and reduce costs.

 

Qualifications

What does it take?

  • Experience with Java/JVM-based projects and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar technologies.

  • A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritizing work with the customers in mind.

  • Ability to work autonomously and take end-to-end ownership of projects.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts is a plus.

  • You’ll quickly integrate into the team, understanding our vision and how you can contribute.

Based in Budapest, our team is composed of dedicated engineers and specialists who are committed to making Wise a safer platform. We are continuously growing and taking ownership of the handling domain, with a strategic focus on reducing complexity, improving resolution speed, and increasing operational efficiency. Our collaborative environment encourages innovation and teamwork, making it an exciting place to work on cutting-edge solutions in fraud prevention.
