The Opportunity
Join our General Partner (GP) Engineering team where you will contribute to projects from concept to production while working closely with key stakeholders. Our engineering teams collaborate daily with product managers and designers to build exceptional software. An ideal candidate for this role will have both sharp technical skills and a keen product sensibility. You’ll join a highly-driven team of engineers collaborating on features that touch every layer of the stack. Our platform handles critical financial data, offering extensive workflow and data analysis tools along with an innovative data ingestion platform. This is an opportunity to make a real-world impact: you will tackle challenging technical problems and contribute to a platform relied upon by leaders in the private equity space.

As a Senior Software Engineer I at Chronograph, you will:
- Own technical projects end-to-end: negotiate scope, design solutions, lead implementation, and coordinate final release to all customers
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to understand complex business requirements and architect flexible, high-performance features for leaders in the private equity space
- Lead cross-team initiatives to improve Chronograph’s overall code quality, developer experience and operating processes
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of professional development experience
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, and RDBMS
- Proficiency in GraphQL, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular the ability to explain complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Planned and delivered major enhancements to a large existing codebase, ideally with a focus on incremental delivery
- Refactored widely-used legacy components in a monorepo shared by several teams
- Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with front-end libraries for state management, UI components, and grids: Redux, Mantine, and AG Grid are preferred.
- Ability to leverage AI and automation tools within the development workflow
- Strong UI/UX instincts and an eye for visual design
