Headquartered in Boston with operations in Monterrey, Barcelona, and Atlanta, we’re scaling rapidly and building a team passionate about redefining how people play, bet, and connect online.

We are seeking a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer (Games) to play a critical role in the design, development, and stewardship of our web-based games and gaming platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is deeply comfortable across the stack—from frontend experiences to backend services and infrastructure—and who takes equal pride in writing high-quality code and raising the bar for the entire engineering team.

You will serve as a technical leader and mentor, ensuring that junior and mid-level engineers produce maintainable, performant, and secure code aligned with our standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Full-Stack Development

  • Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Python
  • Develop modern frontend applications using contemporary JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
  • Design and consume RESTful and real-time APIs, with a strong understanding of HTTP, WebSockets, and related web protocols
  • Implement efficient algorithms and data structures to solve performance-critical problems
  • Identify and proactively address technical debt

Code Quality & Best Practices

  • Establish and enforce coding standards, testing practices, and review processes
  • Perform thorough code reviews with an emphasis on clarity, correctness, performance, and maintainability
  • Advocate for and implement best practices around:
  • Version control and branching strategies
  • Automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end)
  • Documentation and knowledge sharing

Infrastructure & Systems Thinking

  • Contribute to and review Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Collaborate on cloud-based architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
  • Ensure systems are observable, reliable, and operable in production environment

Mentorship & Team Enablement

  • Act as a senior technical resource for the engineering team
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, reviews, and technical guidance
  • Help engineers grow their skills in system design, debugging, and professional software practices
  • Model strong engineering judgment, communication, and ownership

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior-level responsibilities
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Python
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Web application architectures
    • Client-server communication and web protocols
    • Data structures and algorithms
  • Experience building and maintaining production-grade frontend and backend systems
  • Solid knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud-based systems
  • Proven ability to lead by influence, mentor others, and uphold engineering standards
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in fast-moving or scaling engineering teams
  • Experience with containerized workloads and orchestration platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
