Job Purpose and Impact
  • This role will function primarily as a technical lead on a B2B customer-facing portal product team. They will be responsible for driving the technical feasibility and architecture of new product development, ensuring solutions aligned with Cargill's engineering principles, security standards, and our IT ecosystem. This job collaborates with cross-functional teams to define, design and implement new features to meet user needs and business goals. Additional they will advise platforms upgrades to improve performance and functionality ensuring the product has scalable code. They will troubleshoot and debugging complex issues. This role supports our engineers through mentorship, code contributions, and technical guidance, while helping ensure products meet internal policies and deliver meaningful customer value.

Key Accountabilities
  • SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Designs and develops an approach and guidance for high quality software solutions.
    COLLABORATION: Partners with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers and other engineers, as well as dependent teams (BOOMI, Data, SAP) to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
    MENTORING: Supports our technical talent through coaching, providing technical guidance, as well as accessing their skillsets to help challenge and drive their growth.
    CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Recommends options for improving the software development and deployment processes and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
    DOCUMENTATION: Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
    TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Provides technical support, support removing blockers and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.

Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B platform engineering and technologies such as REACT, Sprint Boot, and Java.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Docker, Kubernetes, Cypress, Sonar, Open Search, AWS and microservices architecture.
- Strong foundation in core engineering principles, with the ability to apply them to solution design, scalability, and performance optimization in B2B environments.
- Proficiency with modern engineering toolsets (e.g., GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, backlog management) to support agile delivery and operational transparency.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product teams across diverse B2B domains, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and platform strategy.
