Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer on the Web Core Previews team works within Developer Experience and will focus on building and improving platform capabilities that power preview environments and developer workflows. This role helps teams move faster and more safely by enabling them to validate changes earlier in the development lifecycle. The engineer will work across the full development lifecycle to deliver scalable, reliable, and self-service solutions that reduce friction in build, test, and deployment processes. The role is centered around modern web technologies, CI/CD automation (including GitHub Actions), and close collaboration with other teams to drive adoption and improve developer tooling across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering or equivalent hands-on experience building and delivering complex software solutions

  • 5+ years of experience building software using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web tooling

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and developer workflows, including GitHub Actions

  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container-based workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with developer platforms, preview environments, or internal tooling

  • Familiarity with observability and performance tooling

  • Experience working in large-scale engineering environments supporting many teams

  • Ability to independently deliver complex solutions

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across teams

  • Passion for improving developer productivity and experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
