We are looking for a highly experienced and collaborative backend engineer and team player to join one of our multicultural Engineering teams, focusing on our Third Party Risk Management business. 
 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you are known for thinking on your feet, learning quickly, and owning a problem to resolution. You enjoy solving complex problems while contributing with new ideas and techniques, leading to continuous improvement for the team. You enjoy close collaboration to find better ways to deliver great quality software in a high-trust Engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Curious and with a growth mindset. Have a passion for continuous learning, seeking out opportunities to expand your knowledge, and stretching yourself and others to achieve goals.

• Ability to own loosely defined features from technical design through completion, and deliver on commitments.

• Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer building and maintaining a SaaS application.

• Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong experience with Python and modern Python frameworks and technologies, such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy.

• Experience maintaining, building, and optimizing REST APIs.

• Experience with cloud computing environments (E.g., AWS)

• Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken.

• Solid experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.

• Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.

• Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools in daily workflows, including but not limited to Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$120000 to $170000 annually for US-based employees.  This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant.  Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
