We're seeking a talented backend software engineer with STRONG product sense to join our Ads Conversion Signals team, a group of innovative and collaborative engineers dedicated to growing the quantity and quality of off-platform conversion signals while prioritizing user privacy. As a KEY player on our team, you'll have the opportunity to set the vision of Reddit’s Conversions API and lead a group of engineers to achieve it. You will also collaborate closely with a wide range of cross-functional partners to deliver Conversions API integrations with advertisers as well as 3rd party partners. Your group would also be responsible for building relevant products on Events Manager that drives the quantity as well as quality of Conversions API integrations with advertisers.
Why This Role Matters: As a member of our Ads Conversion Signals team, you'll be instrumental in helping advertisers succeed on Reddit, while also ensuring that our users' privacy is respected. The team would like to get your guidance on the future direction of Conversions API. Your work will have a direct impact on the growth and success of our Ads business, and you'll be part of a team that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
- Independently identify roadmap opportunities based on your past experience, competitor analysis, as well as customer needs. Drive the evolution of our Conversions API related products that would help improve the quality of our conversion data.
- Lead the development of advertiser facing products along with a group of frontend and backend engineers that would help drive high quality Conversions API adoption.
- Own the infrastructure of Conversions API, its cost and scaling, as well as the cost and scaling of downstream teams that leverages conversions data.
- Be a thought partner of your leadership as well as XFNs during short and long term planning, own the technical vision and strategy of Conversions API.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our stakeholders' needs.
- Take ownership of your work, from concept to delivery, and ensure that your solutions are scalable, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Continuously learn and grow with our team, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development.

What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, computer science)
- 5+ years of full-time backend and data focused software engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment
- Prior experience in the Ads Conversion Signals or Ads Measurement space, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these areas as well as its downstream impact related to Conversions API.
- Experience in software development, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies that you lacked prior experience with
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders (e.g. other frontend/backend engineers, data scientists, product managers, etc.)
- A commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet our users' needs, while prioritizing their privacy and security
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
- A passion for mentorship and knowledge-sharing, with a desire to help others grow and develop in their careers
