About the Role:
Dragos has an opportunity for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our growing Quality Engineering team and make great contributions to our mission of Safeguarding Civilization. As a Senior SDET, you will be embedded in a Product Team focused on testing the Dragos Platform. Specifically, you will be testing key features like asset inventory and vulnerability management. Here, you will document, automate, and execute test cases in support of new features and functionality. You will have a large impact on the quality of our products. You will automate test cases and test pipelines to provide fast feedback to your Product Team, ensuring the changes you make add value.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain tests and test pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Triage and maintain automated regression tests as well as performing manual tests as needed
- Raise defects to your Product Team and file tickets with appropriate information in Jira
- Collaborate with Product and Community teams to automate the validation of features
- Provide feedback on new system features, advocating for testability and ease of automation
- Innovate to improve test capabilities and procedures to achieve increased efficiency in the validation of product features
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to prioritize & execute tasks in a high-pressure and time-to-market environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in a Test role
- Experience using AI tooling to assist in testing and coding
- Strong command of UNIX/Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces, from an administrative perspective.
- Strong experience with Python, Pytest, Playwright, Jenkins, Github Actions, and Git
- Demonstrated expertise with and understanding of containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Demonstrated expertise with automating tests against REST API endpoints as well as frontend automation using tools like Playwright
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior team members.
