Position Summary

The Senior Software Development Engineer-Java is responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic for web applications. They ensure seamless integration with front-end components, optimize application performance, and implement robust security measures.
What You Will Do

  • Develop scalable and efficient server-side applications using Java.

  • Design and implement APIs and data storage solutions.

  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

  • Document technical processes and codebase.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Java programming

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java programming and frameworks like Spring or Hibernate.

  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management.

  • Experience with version control tools like Git.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

  • Knowledge of security protocols and performance optimization techniques.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Certifications in Java development or related technologies (optional but beneficial).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
