  • Provide live event coverage, including live-tweeting sessions, capturing quotes, and posting highlight moments in real time.
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics to optimize engagement and reach.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, tools, and platform updates to bring innovative ideas to Newsweek’s events promotion.
  • Work closely with the Events, Marketing, and Editorial teams to align messaging and maximize impact.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing social media for a brand, publisher, or events business.
  • Proven ability to create engaging social content, including graphics and short-form video.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience in B2B promotion and audience development, particularly targeting executives, industry leaders, and professional communities.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and flexible approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
