  • Automate all the things!

  • Mentor junior team members and help them grow their engineering skills.

  • Contribute to the SRE/DevOps team activities, supporting best practices, knowledge sharing and cross-functional initiatives.

  • 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes and IaC tools (esp. Terraform and Crossplane).

  • Experience with monitoring and tracing (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).

  • Demonstrable experience of influencing and driving Engineering strategy.

  • Hands-on experience with large database systems such as Amazon Athena and Amazon Redshift preferred.

  • Experience with Information Security Certifications such as ISO27001 or SOC2 and ETL processing tools like Apache Airflow preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong focus on automation, system reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to design scalable, observable, and cost-effective infrastructure.
  • Quick to learn new tools and adapt to evolving team or project needs.
  • Takes ownership of outcomes and drives initiatives to completion.
  • Actively mentors team members and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes.
  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders.

This position has an estimated base salary of $160,000 - $175,000 plus discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
