Position Summary
The Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for advanced platform development, enterprise integrations, and ongoing optimization of the organization’s ServiceNow environment. This role serves as a senior technical contributor within IT Service Management, providing hands-on development expertise while guiding junior developers, partnering with architects on solution design, and ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable implementations across enterprise instances.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance ServiceNow functionality using server-side and client-side scripting, including Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Scheduled Jobs
Design and configure Service Catalogs, Catalog APIs, Order Guides, ACLs, Roles, Workspaces, and UI Builder interfaces
Build and customize Employee Center, portals, widgets, and Angular-based UI components to support business requirements
Create and maintain REST and Scripted REST APIs, Flow Designer solutions, SubFlows, and Integration Hub actions, including custom integrations and automation scripts
Implement and manage notifications, templates, mail scripts, dashboards, reports, and performance analytics
Monitor system health, analyze upgrade and performance logs, and optimize platform reliability and scalability
Serve as a technical liaison between architects and developers, ensuring alignment with design standards and architectural patterns
Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices to maintain high-quality, maintainable solutions
Manage instance upgrades, cloning activities, data archiving, replication processes, and domain separation configurations
Design and support integrations with external systems, including SSO, discovery tools, Service Graph Connectors, ServiceNow-to-ServiceNow e-bonding, and AI-enabled automation use cases

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience supporting enterprise-scale implementations
Advanced expertise in server-side and client-side scripting, API development, and platform configuration
Strong working knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM modules
Experience managing platform upgrades, instance cloning, and multi-instance environments
Demonstrated experience with Integration Hub, REST integrations, and external system connectivity
Familiarity with Domain Separation and multi-tenant architecture
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred
Proven ability to mentor developers and provide technical leadership
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills
