Intetics Inc., a global technology company providing custom software application development, distributed professional teams, software product quality assessment, and “all-things-digital” solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scala Developer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.
We’re looking for a partner to support the Data Science and Engineering cluster with our Cloud Migration project. The goal of this initiative is to migrate all our services to the AWS Cloud while upgrading the codebase of our Scala-based services.
Key Scala-related tasks include:
• Migrating from Shapeless to Scala 3 mirrors
• Upgrading from Scala 2.12 to Scala 2.13 / Scala 3
• Replacing Akka with Pekko or Cats Effect + FS2
The company's objective is to have 80% of all company services, and 100% of services within the Data Science & Engineering area, running in the cloud by the end of 2025. To meet this deadline, we require a Senior Scala Developer who can support the team with migration tasks while enabling product development to continue in parallel.
The most complex migration involves the service, which has 11 different deployments. We also expect support for migrating two additional services from another domain.
• 5+ years of experience in Scala development
• Strong experience with Scala 2.x and Scala 3
• Familiarity with Shapeless and Scala 3 mirrors
• Deep understanding of Akka
• Experience with Pekko or Cats Effect + FS2
• Microservices & distributed systems experience
• AWS Cloud (ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, EC2, etc.)
• Strong English communication skills
