Position Overview:
Protera is seeking a Sr. SAP Basis / NetWeaver Admin to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP environments, focusing on system administration, performance optimization, and effective management of SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in SAP Basis administration and will be instrumental in supporting cloud-based SAP solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This position will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain SAP landscapes ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Handle the installation, configuration, and upgrades of SAP systems, including S/4 HANA and other Business Suite products.
- Provide technical expertise and support during SAP migrations to cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues proactively to minimize downtime.
- Implement and support SAP Fiori applications and ensure smooth operations of the SAP ecosystem.
- Work closely with development and application teams to address technical challenges.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Create and maintain system documentation and technical procedures to support operations.
- Act as a point of contact for customer issues and be involved in change management processes.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Requirements
Qualifications Needed:
- 5-8 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with substantial knowledge of NetWeaver.
- Deep understanding of SAP cloud solutions, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with SAP Business Suite implementations, particularly S/4 HANA.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze system performance issues.
- Proficiency in database management, including Oracle, MSSQL, or HANA.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Certifications related to SAP Basis or HANA are a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in cloud migration projects and SAP Managed Services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues.
- A proactive approach to staying current with SAP technologies and best practices.
