As a Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will manage Salesforce configurations, automation, data quality, and user roles while supporting multiple business functions. Responsibilities include enhancing the platform, providing support, and developing training for better adoption.
Join our team as a Senior Salesforce Administrator!
This is a remote position open to candidates based in South America.
We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Administrator to join our expanding technology organization to work with our global Finance, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Commerce Services teams performing business analysis for our custom software, automation platforms, and our unique customer website experience. You’ll be a key contributor on technology projects and initiatives that support, grow, and manage our technology capabilities at Protolabs globally!
You will
- Own core platform configuration: custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, queues, and assignment/territory rules
- Build and maintain scalable automation with Flow (record-triggered, scheduled, screen flows), approval processes, and declarative tools; deprecate legacy Workflow/Process Builder
- Design data model enhancements and guardrails that support sales, service, and quoting processes with minimal technical debt
- Manage user lifecycle, license optimization, access reviews, and platform security (FLS, org-wide defaults, session/security settings, audit, Shield a plus)
- Lead environment strategy and release management: sandboxes, change control, release notes, and post-release validation
- Ensure data quality and stewardship in partnership with business teams: deduplication, validation rules, imports, ETL workflows, backup/restore, and retention policies aligned to compliance requirements
- Partner with integration engineers on connected systems (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, data warehouse, CPQ); maintain connected apps, named credentials, and integration user standards
- Support Service Cloud capabilities (e.g., case management, email-to-case, omni-channel, SLAs/entitlements, knowledge), Sales Cloud (lead management, opportunity process, forecasting, territory management) and Marketing Cloud (marketing automations, data alignment)
- Drive governance and a Salesforce Center of Excellence: standards, documentation, architecture reviews, change advisory board participation, and platform roadmap
- Provide Tier 2/3 support, proactive org health monitoring, and capacity planning; triage issues and root-cause problems
- Create training materials and deliver enablement sessions to boost adoption and process excellence
- Mentor junior admins and serve as a subject-matter expert for business partners and product owners
- Uphold compliance with SOX, GDPR/CCPA, and internal IT controls including segregation of duties and change management
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent practical experience
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- 5–7+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Deep expertise with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud; practical experience with Marketing Cloud, CPQ and/or Experience Cloud strongly preferred
- Mastery of Flow and declarative automation patterns; strong understanding of when to use declarative vs. programmatic solutions
- Working knowledge of Apex/SOQL and Lightning Web Components concepts sufficient to collaborate with developers and debug end-to-end processes
- Proven release management experience using DevOps Center or comparable tools (e.g., SFDX, Git, Gearset/Copado) and a solid sandbox strategy
- Strong data management skills: imports, dedupe, ETL, validation, and data governance in a complex, integrated environment
- Experience with enterprise integrations (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, custom APIs) and AppExchange solutions (e.g., DocuSign, Conga, LeanData) is a plus
- Comfortable operating in an Agile/Scrum framework with backlog management and clear user stories/acceptance criteria
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills; able to translate business needs into scalable solutions
