Job Description:

The Senior Sales Solutions Consultant serves as the strategic technical leader on complex sales opportunities, partnering closely with Sales teams and stakeholders within mid-to-large financial institutions. This role leverages deep industry expertise and product knowledge to support RFP responses, product demonstrations, discovery sessions, solution design, project scoping, professional services quoting, and CSI product consultation. Must be able to travel 75% of the time.

As a trusted advisor to executive and operational stakeholders, the Senior Sales Solutions Consultant acts as the lead architect of the solution narrative and quarterback for all technical aspects of the sales process. This role is responsible for aligning client business objectives with CSI capabilities while driving differentiated value and successful sales outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Deal Engagement
  • Diagnose operational challenges, business model limitations, and growth constraints within prospective organizations.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute deal strategies for complex opportunities.
  • Provide strategic guidance throughout the sales lifecycle to maximize customer value and competitive positioning.
Solution Architecture & Positioning
  • Translate client business requirements into comprehensive solution recommendations.
  • Design solutions that align prospect goals with CSI's long-term vision and capabilities.
  • Position CSI solutions to support:
    • Commercial growth strategies
    • Operational efficiency improvements
    • Risk management and compliance objectives
    • Competitive differentiation and value creation
  • Clearly articulate business outcomes rather than product features.
Prospect Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Lead client discovery sessions, diagnostic interviews, and solution workshops.
  • Present and communicate complex solutions to diverse audiences, including C-suite executives and business leaders.
  • Build credibility and confidence through consultative engagement and industry expertise.
Advanced RFP & Due Diligence Leadership
  • Lead response strategy for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and due diligence activities.
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and competitive challenges within RFP requirements.
  • Develop compelling response strategies that strengthen CSI's competitive position.
  • Defend and articulate solution responses during detailed evaluation sessions.
Demo Strategy & Execution
  • Own the end-to-end demo strategy for complex sales opportunities.
  • Design scenario-driven demonstrations that align with client use cases and business objectives.
  • Create multi-session demo experiences tailored to specific audiences and functional areas.
  • Deliver demonstrations to credit, treasury, operations, commercial banking, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure all demonstrations effectively communicate business value and strategic outcomes.
Commercial Banking Subject Matter Expertise
  • Provide expertise and consultation related to:
    • Commercial lending workflows
    • Treasury and cash management solutions
    • Relationship profitability and portfolio management
    • Financial institution operational processes
  • Support sales efforts through industry insight and best-practice recommendations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in banking solution sales, financial services consulting, pre-sales engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong experience supporting commercial banking organizations or mid-market financial institutions.
  • Deep understanding of commercial lending, treasury management, and banking operations.
  • Proven track record supporting or leading complex sales opportunities, including enterprise-level engagements valued at $1M+.
  • Experience leading executive-level presentations, discovery sessions, and solution demonstrations.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% to support client engagements, demonstrations, discovery sessions, industry events, and sales opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within fintech, banking technology, or financial institution software providers.
  • Experience responding to complex RFPs and regulatory due diligence requirements.
  • Knowledge of core banking platforms, digital banking solutions, payments, and treasury services.
  • Professional Services, implementation consulting, or solution architecture experience.
  • Strong understanding of competitive banking technology landscapes.
