Hi there :)

Thanks for checking in to find out about our open position. We´ll provide as much information as possible, but please feel free to reach us if you have further questions. We´ll be happy to see your application, even if there are skills you don't quite master!

ABOUT US

South Geeks is a US-based nearshoring company that builds high-performance engineering teams from Latin America for operators in financial services and life sciences. We specialize in regulated, data-heavy domains where team quality, compliance fluency and communication matter more than headcount.

Founded in 2017, we have grown through deep client relationships and a reputation for placing senior, AI-capable engineering talent. We are not a staffing agency. We are a strategic partner that helps regulated organizations solve the problems their internal teams cannot: compute at scale, secure data integration and AI governance they can actually defend in an audit.

ABOUT OUR CLIENTS

Our clients are US-based regulated operators in financial services and life sciences. They have real innovation budgets and AI ambitions. The common profile: regulated, data-heavy, smart but stretched, with budget for innovation and a compliance environment that requires outside expertise to unlock it.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for our first Senior Sales Executive: a hands-on, individual-contributor closer who will own client acquisition and growth at South Geeks.

This is not a transactional sales position. It is not a management role either. You will be the first business developer outside of the CEO. You will own how the commercial function is built from the ground up, personally, as an individual contributor with no team beneath you.

Reports to: CEO & Founder

Location: United States

Start: As soon as possible

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pipeline creation and revenue conversion

  • Leverage your existing network of decision-makers at regulated financial services or life sciences organizations (RIAs, wealth management firms, insurance operators, asset managers, CROs, CDMOs, specialty pharma companies and medical device makers) to open doors and generate warm conversations

  • Sell outcomes, not headcount: lead every conversation with the problem we solve, which is compute at scale, secure data integration and AI governance under 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, SEC and FINRA frameworks

  • Design and execute a signal-based outreach strategy targeting organizations facing AI adoption pressure with compliance constraints they cannot clear internally

  • Represent South Geeks at vertical-specific events, peer networks and conferences relevant to wealth management, financial services operations, clinical research and life sciences

  • Collaborate with the CEO on her bi-monthly US trips to maximize in-person relationship value

  • Track and maintain a structured pipeline in HubSpot with disciplined reporting and forecasting

Market presence and thought leadership

  • Contribute to thought leadership around AI governance, secure data and compliance-safe AI adoption in regulated industries

  • Be a brand ambassador consistent with our positioning: outcome-based AI for regulated operators in the Americas, by engineers who speak compliance

  • Participate in communities where our target buyers are active, including wealth management peer groups, RIA networks, life sciences and pharma leadership forums

  • Gather market intelligence and share insights that inform commercial strategy and positioning

Client relationship management

  • Own client relationships beyond the close. Our Engagement Manager handles day-to-day delivery. You remain the point of contact for every client you bring in: the escalation point when problems arise, the person who turns a signed agreement into a long-term partnership

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
  • Based in the United States, ideally in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, or Texas.

  • 6-10 years of experience in or directly adjacent to financial services or life sciences, as an operator, service provider, or senior commercial partner

  • An active, trusted network of technology and innovation decision-makers at regulated financial services or life sciences firms, meaning people you have spoken to in the last 12 months: CTO, COO, Head of Data, Chief Innovation Officer, Head of Clinical Operations, or VP of Technology at an RIA, wealth manager, CRO, specialty pharma, or medical device company

  • Deep familiarity with financial services and/or life sciences. You understand the regulatory context (SEC, FINRA, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11) and what operations and technology leaders in these industries actually care about

  • Ability to speak credibly about AI governance, data security and compliance-safe implementation. Not as a technologist, but as someone who understands why these organizations are stuck and what it costs them to stay stuck

  • A proven track record of opening and closing complex, trust-based B2B deals in professional services or adjacent fields, personally, not through a team you managed

  • Comfort operating as a lean individual contributor who builds rather than delegates. This is a hands-on hunter role, not a strategic leadership position with a team beneath you

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
  • An academic or professional background that opens doors in the US market

  • Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or talent solutions for regulated industries

  • Existing involvement in senior wealth management or life sciences communities such as SIFMA, FPA, CAIA, DIA, ACRP, or equivalent leadership networks

  • Experience building a commercial function from an early stage, as an individual contributor

  • Familiarity with Latin American engineering talent or distributed team models

OUR TEAM

We are lean, senior and high-quality, with strong operational infrastructure already in place. We strive to create an inspiring and growth-oriented environment where everyone feels valued, heard and empowered. You will have full support from the CEO and COO from day one, including warm introductions to an established client network.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Genuine ownership of client acquisition and growth in two high-value verticals, as an individual contributor, not a management seat

  • Competitive base compensation plus a performance structure tied directly to revenue you generate

  • Full support from the CEO and COO, including warm introductions to an established client network

  • A lean, high-quality team with strong operational infrastructure already in place

  • AI-enabled operations, including pre-sales enhancements

  • The opportunity to shape the growth strategy of a company at an inflection point

  • Dedicated budget for event attendance, community memberships and business travel

  • 100% remote work
