Fortytwo is a decentralized AI protocol on Monad that leverages idle consumer hardware for swarm inference. It enables Small Language Models to achieve advanced multi-step reasoning at lower costs, surpassing the performance and scalability of leading models.
Responsibilities:Design and implement high-performance, secure, and scalable peer-to-peer networking protocols in Rust.
Develop distributed systems that enable decentralized AI nodes to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Ensure robust fault-tolerance and resilience in networked systems through testing and optimization.
Collaborate with blockchain engineers, protocol developers, and AI researchers to integrate the network layer with Fortytwo's decentralized AI stack.
Optimize performance for diverse computing environments, including edge devices and cloud systems.
Contribute to open-source projects and documentation that advance Fortytwo's mission.
3+ years of experience in Rust development, with a focus on distributed systems or peer-to-peer networking.
Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, WebRTC, and libp2p.
Experience in building scalable and resilient distributed systems.
Proficient in designing systems with security and fault-tolerance in mind.
Familiarity with decentralized technologies, including blockchain, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic techniques.
Experience with WebAssembly (WASM) and cross-platform Rust development.
Familiarity with decentralized AI concepts and swarm intelligence.
Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes).
