We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Senior Revenue Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, while supporting cross-functional initiatives and driving process improvements across the quote-to-cash cycle.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in public accounting, deep expertise in revenue accounting, and hands-on experience with NetSuite’s Advanced Revenue Module (ARM). You’ll play a key role in reviewing complex contracts, preparing revenue entries and reconciliations, and partnering with FP&A, Legal, and Sales to optimize revenue operations. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $150,000 (depending on location) plus bonus. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Responsibilities
- Review revenue contracts, modifications, and terminations to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely in accordance with ASC 606 requirements
- Assist in posting NetSuite Advanced Revenue Module (ARM) based revenue monthly and quarterly entries and general ledger reconciliations associated with revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled, and cost accounts.
- Complete revenue summaries and ensure the revenue allocation is consistent to the NetSuite revenue plans.
- Maintain and provide annual audit support as requested by internal and external auditors as well YE disclosures for financial reporting.
- Partner cross functionally with FP&A, Legal, Sales to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements.
- Maintain quote-to-cash process as it relates to ensure reporting consistency and resolve revenue recognition or invoicing issues.
- Contribute to process and system improvements in the revenue cycle, including ERP system enhancement and departmental projects
Qualifications
- BA/MA degree in Accounting
- Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition
- 3+ years of CPA firm audit experience (Big 4 is a plus)
- CPA, preferred
- Superior Excel skills
- Experience with managing large sets of data (e.g. SQL)
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills combined with good business judgement
- Detailed oriented, meticulous with high degree of accuracy
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills
- Motivated by dynamic and challenging environment
- Flexible and able to manage multiple and constantly changing priorities
