Job Description Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Regional Operational Technology Analyst to support building IT infrastructure and desktop support operations for our Boston office. In this role, you will work closely with end users, addressing both hardware and software needs, while also managing and maintaining core base building technologies such as BMS, access control, and video surveillance systems. Occasional travel to regional sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Base Building Technology

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS) for HVAC, lighting, and energy efficiency.

  • Monitor system performance, conduct diagnostics, and resolve operational issues to ensure uninterrupted service.

  • Collaborate with facilities teams to improve system reliability and energy optimization.

  • Install and maintain access control systems, including card readers and biometric devices.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on building technology infrastructure.

  • Respond promptly to service requests, resolving maintenance issues efficiently.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.

Corporate IT & End-User Support

  • Provide front-line support to end users, managing incidents and service requests through the IT service desk platform.

  • Set up and support desktops, laptops, and video conferencing systems, ensuring reliable functionality and accurate asset tracking.

  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary for timely resolution.

  • Manage user account provisioning, access rights, and compliance with audit requirements.

  • Maintain high availability of desktop infrastructure and ensure proper documentation of incidents, resolutions, and changes.

  • Participate in regional IT projects, supporting deployment and integration efforts as needed.

  • Follow change management protocols and uphold IT security, configuration, and compliance standards.

  • Complete compliance testing and reporting, including audits, disaster recovery exercises, and ICI controls, with proper documentation and sign-offs.

  • Recommend improvements to enhance system performance and end-user experience.

  • Act as a liaison with OMERS and shared services for phones, data, and server room coordination.

  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies by attending cross-training sessions and reviewing training materials.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in a technical or IT-related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing, end-user support role.

  • At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Server and desktop environments, including hardware and network architecture.

  • Experience with building systems, facilities management, or property technology preferred.

  • Strong understanding of networking and IT infrastructure within commercial office buildings.

  • Familiarity with building automation systems and current technology trends in operational technology.

  • Experience with access control, surveillance systems, and building HVAC networks.

  • Proficient in AV systems, presentation technology, and conference room setup.

  • Awareness of cybersecurity best practices and network safety protocols.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. The base salary that is ultimately offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set. 

Primary location: Massachusetts

Primary Location Base Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00

You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
