Own web QA across website, checkout, and B2B product. Design and build test infrastructure, define coverage strategy, and run regression, smoke, end-to-end, and integration tests. Implement web test automation (Playwright/Selenium), API testing (Postman), integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate root causes, file actionable Jira/X-ray tickets, and apply AI tooling where useful. Perform manual testing when needed and collaborate with product, developers, and design.
About Roamless
About the role
What you will do
What you will bring
What we offer
The origin story of Roamless is one that will be familiar to many: we saw something broken and we decided to fix it for good.
We all travel. We all need to stay connected. And we all hate roaming charges. Existing alternatives were clunky, expensive, and unreliable, so we built something better. We made it easy, reliable and affordable for travellers to get connected and stay connected as they roam the world.
Our truly global mobile connectivity service is up to 90% cheaper than traditional roaming. With one eSIM, you get instant, reliable data anywhere in the world. No SIM swaps, no hunting for Wi-Fi, no choosing countries or data packs. Your balance never expires, so you can use it across trips with zero hidden fees or expiration dates.
In just 3 years, we've grown 4-5x Year on Year and have been trusted by +1.5M users who overall rate us 4.6 on Trustpilot.
🚀 We also recently closed a $12M Series A led by Rasmal Ventures, with participation from Shorooq, Revo Capital, Finberg, and JIMCO, to fuel our mission of becoming the world's first truly global mobile operator.
Hiring globally and fully remote, we're a team of 70, and we're planning to grow to 100+ in the next ~12 months.
At Roamless, we ship fast across iOS, Android, web, and backend. Until now, the web (our website, web checkout, B2B product) has had no dedicated QA.
We're hiring a Senior QA Engineer for our web products to own quality assurance across our web properties. You'll build the test infrastructure, design the coverage strategy, and make sure that everything works flawlessly for every user, every time.
This is a greenfield role. You won't inherit someone else's framework; you'll design and build it. That's either exciting or intimidating. If it's exciting, keep reading.
- Take full ownership of web QA across the website, web checkout, and upcoming B2B/Enterprise product, ensuring releases are thoroughly validated and production-ready.
- Work closely with product, developers, and design to understand requirements, clarify expected behavior, and identify what needs to be tested before issues reach users.
- Design and execute regression, smoke, end-to-end, and integration tests ahead of every release
- Help establish and improve test automation for web flows, bringing practical ideas on tools, structure, and best practices as Roamless continues building its QA capabilities.
- Investigate issues beyond surface-level bug reporting by analyzing behavior, isolating likely causes, and providing clear, actionable insights to support faster resolution.
- Integrate AI tooling into your QA workflow. Automating Jira ticket creation, building testing agents, exploring MCPs
- Perform manual testing where automation is not possible
Must-haves:
- Solid experience testing web products and customer-facing flows, ideally including checkout or other conversion-critical journeys.
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including regression testing, smoke testing, integration testing, and bug tracking.
- Hands-on experience with web test automation, with familiarity in tools such as Playwright or Selenium (or similar), and the ability to contribute ideas rather than simply follow existing setups.
- A highly analytical mindset with a focus on understanding why something is broken, not just identifying that it is broken.
- Strong autonomy: you plan your own testing cycles, identify coverage gaps, and self-organise without a checklist
- Curiosity about using AI to improve workflows, efficiency, or QA processes in practical ways.
- Experience with Postman for API testing
- Familiarity with Jira and X-ray (or equivalent bug-tracking)
- Comfortable with a fast-moving startup that ships weekly
- Strong English communication skills
Nice-to-haves:
- SQL or basic querying skills
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to accessibility or web performance testing
- Experience setting up QA processes from scratch
