Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer in Latin America to join our international team and take ownership of both manual and automated testing across web and mobile applications. This role is hands‑on, quality‑driven, and highly collaborative focused on early involvement in the development of lifecycle, building robust automation, and ensuring that every release meets the highest quality standards.

You will design test strategies, build and maintain automation frameworks, validate functionality end‑to‑end, and help shape a culture of continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable diving deep into UI/E2E automation as they are performing structured manual testing, exploratory testing, and grooming acceptance criteria with product teams.

Responsibilities

Test Strategy, Planning & Execution:

  • Design and execute manual and automated test plans for web and/or mobile applications.

  • Validate functional, regression, integration, acceptance, and cross‑browser/cross‑device scenarios.

  • Ensure Acceptance Criteria are well‑defined, understood, and thoroughly validated.

Automation Development:

  • Build, maintain, and evolve UI and E2E automation suites (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).

  • Support continuous automation coverage and ensure effective use of automation in CI/CD pipelines.

  • Maintain reusable test components, selectors, and test architecture patterns.

Quality Assurance & Defect Management:

  • Identify, log, track, and manage defects using Jira (or similar tools).

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce, debug, and ensure timely resolutions.

  • Validate fixes, retest impacted areas, and ensure no regression leaks.

Process & Quality Improvements:

  • Proactively propose enhancements to QA processes, tools, documentation, and workflows.

  • Enable consistent quality by promoting testing best practices and risk‑based prioritization.

  • Contribute to an AI‑enabled QA culture by adopting AI‑assisted testing workflows and tooling.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, UX teams, and architects.

  • Communicate issues, risks, and quality metrics clearly across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives, and QA process alignment.

Qualifications

Technical skills:

  • 5+ years of QA experience in web and/or mobile application testing.

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test plans, test cases, and test strategy.

  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for UI/E2E automation.

  • Familiarity with Jira or similar issue‑tracking systems.

  • Exposure to test types such as integration, regression, acceptance, functional, exploratory, and cross‑browser / cross‑device.

  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of API testing concepts (using Postman, REST clients, etc. — optional but welcomed).

Soft skills:

  • High ownership and accountability.

  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a structured approach to validating issues.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in dynamic environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration across cross‑functional teams.

  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering high‑quality outcomes.

Bonus skills:

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with performance testing, accessibility testing, or API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).

  • Background in Agile or DevOps environments.

  • Familiarity with mobile automation tools (e.g., Appium) is a plus.

  • Vibe Coding experience
