Job Summary

We are seeking a highly technical Quality Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and integrity of complex, multi-layered applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust automated testing strategies for web UIs, APIs, and related end-to-end data flows, while occasionally supporting both new and legacy systems through manual exploratory testing.

Responsibilities
  • Automated testing for distributed systems, microservices, and end-to-end data flows

  • API testing for RESTful services and third-party integrations

  • Validation of asynchronous/event-driven data pipelines and message brokers

  • Testing complex backend processes, including large-scale file uploads and multi-stage processing

  • Strong focus on both automation and manual exploratory testing

  • Collaboration with Software Engineers and Product Managers using shift-left testing practices

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering

  • Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or PyTest

  • Expertise in API testing using REST APIs, Postman, PyTest, or similar tools

  • Experience with automated testing for web UIs, APIs, and data flows

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, message queues, and event-driven architectures

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, multi-layered applications, MFE, and SOA architectures

  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript with solid OOP knowledge

  • Experience testing third-party integrations and complex backend processes

  • Strong problem-solving, test design, and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
