Title: Senior QA Analyst - P4

Location: Remote USA

Reports To: Director, Data Visualization and QA

The Role: 

As part of the Data Visualization & QA team, the Senior Data Visualization & QA Analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining, and leveraging reports to ensure our data for new products and features is of the highest quality. The successful candidate will have a passion for data and an eye for detail to ensure reports are created to be useful for QA for personal use, as well as stakeholders on other teams. While our team focuses on the right tool to do the job, this role will specialize in Palantir, but also gain exposure and experience in Tableau, ThoughtSpot, SQL, AWS, and other tools. This role will gather and communicate insights and ensure our data usage is efficient and accurate. Team cross collaboration and excellent written and verbal communication are key for this role. 


The Impact You Will Have in This Role: 

Our data products will directly support the Data & Analytics division. The internal dashboards and QA will enhance the functionality of other teams and products, while the external products produce revenue and create solutions for the automotive industry. 

What You'll Be Doing in This Role: 

  • Build, maintain, and iterate on BI data visualizations in a variety of tools 
  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, product team, and internal customers to create QA dashboards and visuals 
  • Analyze large amounts of data and build interactive QA visualizations to help drive more robust QA practices and enhance business decisions and processes 
  • Product ownership of internally facing dashboards 
  • Build proof of concept visualizations and iterate quickly 
  • Collaborate cross functionally with BI developers as well as other business units 
  • Ad-hoc data analysis, QA, and reporting 

Qualifications of this Role: 

  • 3+ years of experience working with automotive data 
  • Proficiency with Palantir, Tableau Desktop, ThoughtSpot or other comparable BI tools 
  • 5+ years of professional experience creating professional dashboards 
  • 5+ years of experience with database software (RedShift, SQL, MYSQL, …) 
  • Experience with publishing and maintaining interactive BI dashboards 
  • Experience interacting with dashboards to find insights and iterate on usability and features 
  • Proficiency creating complex custom calculations and aggregations within BI tools 
  • Ability to translate data questions and QA needs into live dashboards with limited development cycles and adapt to new requirements quickly 
  • Ability to translate product requirements into live dashboards with limited development cycles and to adapt to new requirements quickly 
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate key insights from complex analyses into actionable business insights 
  • A passion for using data visualization to tell complex data stories 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, CS, Engineering or related field  

 Nice to Have: 

  • Proficiency with data-oriented programming in Python (numpy, pandas, … ) 
  • Tableau Certification and/or Jedi skill level 
  • Some shareable Tableau Public examples or other data visualizations you have created
