Responsible for creating client-focused proposals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on strategy, and ensuring proposals meet operational and pricing strategies.
This role is responsible for the creation of high-quality, client-focused proposals that support the acquisition of new business and the retention of existing clients, aligned with Alimentiv’s goals and therapeutic area strategy. This role will collaborate with cross function teams including Operations, Medical, Legal, Finance, Business Development and Proposals to ensure proposals are strategically aligned, competitive and compliant.
In addition, the role will collaborate with project leadership, functional leadership and the Alimentiv Site Network (ASN) team to develop the operational strategy countries/sites/timelines/key project success factors, outsourcing vendor needs, risk identification and mitigation strategies etc..), prepare and review commercial proposals for new studies as well as prepare operational strategy content for bid defenses.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Proposal Strategy Director, your role will include:
- Collaborate with project leadership and key internal stakeholders to define the operational and pricing strategy and ensure alignment across all functional and business teams as necessary/appropriate.
- Review and understand RFPs and related documents to identify project requirements.
- Research past trial performance metrics, competing landscape, and regulatory strategy.
- Engage with external experts and clients to gather operational requirements.
- Review proposals to ensure alignment with strategy
- Attend handover meetings and provide background on strategy and risks.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to understand protocol design and study challenges, chairing the internal strategy meetings.
- Request and review pre-feasibility results to adjust strategy as needed.
- Confirm vendor recommendations for proposed trials.
- Recommend operational strategy to internal decision makers.
- Develop strategic messaging and value propositions tailored to client needs and Alimentiv’s differentiators.
- Ensure functional leads identify resourcing needs for new projects and bid defense meetings.
- Contribute to the development of bid defense content and participate in bid defense meetings as necessary.
- Maintain familiarity with business tools that inform operational strategy.
- Continuously improve proposal templates, tools and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to inform proposal development.
- Provide mentorship to proposal development team as required.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation across all involved in proposal development.

Qualifications
- BSc and 10+ years of related experience in (Business Development, Proposals, Feasibility, Clinical Project Management); equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Deep understanding of clinical trial delivery and sponsor expectations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence without authority
- High degree of professionalism and executive presence
- Organizational agility and strong problem-solving orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM tools and project tracking systems
- Ability to travel (10%) and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
