About our Company

Government’s biggest challenges — homelessness, election administration, emergency response — don’t get solved inside a single agency. Work happens across dozens of organizations that often struggle to coordinate, share information, and act in real time.

Civic Roundtable is an AI-powered government operations platform that helps public servants do exactly that. We give wide networks of agencies and partner organizations the tools to consolidate information, coordinate mission-critical work, and move faster together so the people on the frontlines of public problems have what they need to serve their communities.

Trusted by 4,000+ organizations across all 50 states, Civic Roundtable emerged from the Harvard Innovation Labs and is backed by General Catalyst.

About the Role

We're looking for our first product hire beyond our Head of Product. Roundtable's product surface has grown quickly: collaborative spaces, a CRM, Documents, Forms, Events, and an AI layer running across all of it. You'll take ownership of a meaningful slice of it, working alongside an engineering manager and a pod of engineers. There's no roadmap process to administer, no analytics team to request numbers from, no research org to hand discovery to - you'll do that work yourself, and you'll shape how we do it from here.

You'll report to our Head of Product and work daily with engineering, design, and our deployments team. This role is based in Boston, in-person at least 1 day a week.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle - Own core product areas and be accountable for outcomes, from ideation and strategy to execution and launch.
  • Engage directly with customers - Run user interviews, workflow mapping, usability testing, shadowing, competitive research, and data analysis. Work with Customer Success and Sales to understand pain points, and translate those insights into high-impact product investments.
  • Drive high-velocity execution with engineering and design - Translate strategy into intuitive experiences that are built to scale. Help engineers and designers understand users deeply enough to make great product decisions and iterate rapidly.
  • Define what success looks like - Set success metrics before you build, make sure the right things get instrumented, and review outcomes after launch.
  • Land the launch - Craft messaging that resonates with users, enable Sales and Marketing to win with customers, and drive cross-functional readiness across teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in product management - A track record of shipping high-quality products end-to-end, from discovery and definition through launch and iteration, ideally in B2B SaaS. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, with urgency and ownership, in fast-paced, low-structure environments.
  • High agency - You bring structure to ambiguous problem spaces and move without being told. You have a bias to action and have a scrappy high-ownership mentality, willing to QA, debug alongside an engineer, or backstop a customer team when that's what the team requires.
  • Strong product, user, and business instincts - You care how products feel and fit into someone's daily work, and you balance user needs, domain complexity, and system constraints to find the high-leverage improvements. You find the real need underneath a customer request and prioritize by impact, zooming out to vertical-level strategy and back down to precise workflow nuance.
  • Excellent communication - You can articulate a product vision and the tradeoffs behind it to diverse audiences including customers, engineers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency with metrics and experimentation - Use data to test ideas, learn from user feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Hands-on AI experience - You've built agents, prototypes, or AI-powered workflows yourself. You consistently and creatively apply AI to improve your own product processes.

Why You’ll Love Working @ Civic Roundtable

  • You'll have a competitive salary, meaningful equity, health benefits, and flexible work arrangements as part of our first 30 employees
  • You'll build products that help government work better for millions of people, from delivering housing services to supporting elections, emergency response, and veterans.
  • You'll work directly with founders every day and have real influence on the product, company, and culture from the ground floor as one of our first 30 employees.
  • You'll help define what AI-native software looks like for the public sector, turning emerging capabilities into products that solve real problems for public servants.
  • You'll tackle complex coordination problems that span organizations, agencies, and systems, where there’s no established playbook or obvious product category to copy.
  • You'll build, ship, learn, and iterate quickly. You’ll have the autonomy to make high-quality product decisions, turn insight into action, and ship features that have an immediate, measurable impact.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. If you’re passionate about building great products and making a difference, we want to hear from you!
