Rad Science

Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Rad Science team!

This unique team includes dozens of scientists and artists specifically trained in illustration, animation, interactive media, and immersive experiences - turns complex scientific messages into simple, memorable stories through: Congress experience and scientific visualization.

Senior Project Manager

I. New Business

• Is knowledgeable of the Rad Science capabilities, project life cycles, and corresponding assumptions and technical considerations

• Develops staffing plans, timing estimates, and assumptions for new business with existing clients, new clients, or cross-collab team(s)

• Supports Account in the development of recommendations, pitches, and other various project approaches

• Works in partnership with Account to plan for forecasted opportunities, supports in the management of the Account/PM team FTE tracker

• Able to speak to workflow approach and timing on client calls, as needed

II. Project Planning, Organization & Tracking

• Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of internal project management processes and resources

• Works in partnership with the Account team to optimize Input Meetings, create Staffing Plans and collaborate on Project Plans. Develops timelines according to the needs of the project, client and internal team. Recognizes project risks to manage/mediate issues and proactively develops solutions

• May manage larger or core brand initiatives as well as complex digital projects (i.e. multicomponent conventions)

• Manages day-to-day workflow for multiple projects and/or delegates assignments to junior staff, but is still responsible for the success of the final project deliverables

• May present on key client calls/meetings or assist on-site during live events (i.e. medical convention booth support) as needed

• Performs duties of subsequent functions, such as Project Manager, as needed

III. Fiscal Responsibility

• Approves project timesheets in a timely manner, ensures direct report(s) are doing so, and alerts Account Lead of notable changes in project burn

• Ensures vendor SOWs and invoices are processed and approved promptly

• Consolidates and provides high-level analysis of project health on a weekly or semi-monthly basis and collaborates with Account and PM team to course correct if needed

• Maintains high-level oversight of their direct report(s) project health and works collaboratively to help course correct as needed IV. Quality Control Review & Medical Legal Regulatory Submission

• Oversees or supports in the routing of assets for review in Workfront to ensure projects are tracking according to the Project Plan and timeline

• May be responsible for quality control review of key milestone deliveries (i.e., editorial review, content checks, scientific quality checks, confirms references and annotations)

• Oversees or supports in accurately compiling submission documents and is the expert on the client’s submission system

• Oversees or supports in submitting key milestone deliveries for MLR review and/or applicable client review process

• Oversees or supports in collating client and reviewer feedback & delegates revisions to production team

V. Management

• Supervisor

o May supervise up to 2 direct reports; meeting semi-monthly or more often as needed

o Collaborates with direct report(s) on the development of their goals and helps them work towards progress and remove barriers

o Ensures that the direct report(s) is compliant with Rad Science and Real Chemistry policies, processes, and best practices, and are managing their workstreams competently

o Conducts annual evaluation of direct report(s) per Real Chemistry policy

o May be responsible for conducting Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) in partnership with supervisor and HR if any direct report(s) is under-performing

• Department

o Sets an example in high-level performance and policy/process compliance, while serving as an advocate for direct report(s)

o Provides input and contributes to the development, maintenance, and dissemination of SOPs and best practices that impact the Project Management department

o May be asked to work with department leaders, Resource Manager and Talent Acquisition team on recruiting/interviewing for the department o May be asked to participate in the onboarding training for new hires

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and work management software such as Workfront is highly desirable

• Familiarity with animated media/motion graphics, web/app, and experiential technology (i.e., VR/AR, etc.) development and their potential technical issues is highly desirable Education and Experience

• 3 or more years of Project Management experience, preferably in a healthcare marketing or production studio environment

• Degree in project management, art, computer graphics or related discipline is desirable

• Degree in biomedical visualization from an AMA accredited graduate program is desirable

Pay Range: $93,000.00-$103,000.00

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.  Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
