What we need

The Senior Product Owner will be a member of Data Product Team managing various portfolio, operations, maintenance and enhancements (M&E), and internal projects.  We are looking for someone with extensive experience collecting business requirements and grooming a technical backlog of work sufficient to support multiple developers and testers. The incumbent will also have experience managing product roadmaps supporting the intake and prioritization of requests from multiple stakeholders. As a Senior Product Owner with the Data Product Team, you will also have experience with SQL, data visualization, business intelligence, and-or AWS cloud data tools and applications. This person will have experience using project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, and MS Office.  

This role is eligible for our Flex Persona for candidates local to our Boston, MA office.

Your Day to Day

  • Partner with Engineering, Testing, and Architecture teams to prioritize, decompose, groom, and schedule work items (epics and stories) 
  • Partner with enterprise stakeholders to prioritize portfolio initiatives and maintain roadmaps driving the shared product vision
  • Attend or lead Agile Scrum and Kanban ceremonies including daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint grooming, sprint retrospectives, sprint demo, and PI sessions  
  • Manage communications between and within Values Stream, ET Shared Services, and Technical Delivery teams
  • Understand and manage upstream and downstream impacts associated with changes or enhancements to core data assets
  • Engage and activate technical and shared services teams to maintain momentum and support end to end development and implementation activities
  • Administer Enterprise Data Architecture aligning with your data domain including balance and control, audit, data dictionary, and data sharing activities  
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant healthcare and consumer technology trends, competitors, and market offerings

We’re Looking for:

  • Experience implementing data solutions including ingestion, integration, master data management, transformation, storage, publication, security, and delivery activities
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare domains including (but not limited to) enrollment, account, claims, providers, products, digital, clinical, financial, and wellness data
  • Ability to estimate, inform, and negotiate expectations that meet enterprise partner and technical delivery needs
  • Leverages knowledge of structured query language (SQL) to query core data assets to understand data availability, completeness, formats, and hygiene 
  • Experience working on Agile Scrum and Kanban teams to deliver ongoing and iterative value throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Medical and Pharmacy Claims operations, adjudication, and data fields preferred

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressively work experience with data and product management areas
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in working with data query tools (SQL, SAS, Cognos, Tableau)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in working as product owner focused on healthcare industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Jira and Confluence for product management
  • Certified Scrum Product owner (CSPO) or PMP certification highly desirable
  • Healthcare domain knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range: $111,150.00 - $135,850.00


The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
