Life insurance is one of the world's most important products. It's also one of the hardest to build, distribute, and modernize. Bestow exists to change that.
Bestow is a leading vertical technology platform serving some of the largest and most innovative life insurers. Our platform unifies the fragmented, legacy value chain, enabling carriers to launch products in weeks instead of years. Carriers choose us to scale and operate at unprecedented speed, powered by AI and automation.
Bestow isn't selling policies. We're building the infrastructure that helps an entire industry move faster, reach more people, and deliver on its promise.
Backed by leading investors (Goldman Sachs, Hedosophia, NEA, Valar, 8VC) and trusted by major carriers, Bestow is powered by a team that moves with precision, purpose, and heart. If you want to help reimagine a centuries-old industry with lasting impact, join us.
Bestow offers flexible remote/hybrid work, meaningful benefits, equity, and substantial growth opportunities.

ABOUT THE TEAMThe Bestow Product organization is responsible for defining, designing, and delivering exceptional digital experiences that solve real problems. We collaborate across Engineering, Revenue and Ops teams to transform ideas into intuitive, valuable solutions that delight our users.
Within the Product team, we have three functions – Product Management, Design, and Product Operations–all reporting into our CPO. The first two are the powerhouse team that plan and design our software solutions. Our Product Ops team is the force multiplier–enabling Product Managers and Designers to make the best decisions and do their best work.
This is a high-visibility/high-impact role. So we're looking for a highly motivated, technologically savvy, and AI-minded Senior Product Operations Manager to join our team and help take our Product organization to the next level!
WHAT YOU’LL DOTwo primary responsibilities.
First, lead ongoing improvements to the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) — the processes, rituals, and tooling Product Managers rely on every day — in direct support of Product Management leadership and its goal of maximizing team output and product quality. [High Impact]
Second, own the product roadmap: the tooling systems, infrastructure, and governance that keep our roadmap complete, accurate, and visible to every stakeholder who depends on it. [High Visibility]
To achieve both, we need someone with deep experience architecting and engineering the roadmap infrastructure in Jira and associated AI context layers– producing always accurate roadmaps via beautiful, interactive AI dashboards to showcase and promote our roadmap.
So this is way more than simply an administrator function. A strong candidate possesses the knowledge and experience to architect JPD/Jira AND AI infrastructure (e.g., integrations, context layers, skills, etc.).
Important: You will NOT be inheriting a playbook — you'll be writing one! This is a rare opportunity to shape what world-class product roadmap management looks like at an AI-native company, so we’re looking for someone with preexisting AI expertise and eagerness to contribute!
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning, designing & improving PM Workflows within the Product Lifecycle process
Partner directly with Product Management leadership to identify bottlenecks and friction in the PDLC and design solutions that improve PM velocity, quality, and consistency.
Own and evolve the PDLC stages PMs operate within, ensuring hand-offs (especially Discovery → Software) are clean and consistently followed.
Build and maintain "ready-to-develop & prioritized" backlog standards, and help enforce PRD quality before products move into development.
Lead process enablement: templates, playbooks, RACI, and rituals that scale with the team.
Architect and maintain our product operations technical stack, engineering robust configurations in Jira/Confluence and developing automated system integrations.
Identify and implement AI-powered tools and workflows that meaningfully speed up PM work — requirements drafting, backlog grooming, synthesis of customer insight — with an eye toward measurable efficiency gains.
Owning the Product Roadmap
Be the operational owner of the product roadmap — building the systems and infrastructure (Jira, Confluence, dashboards) that keep it structured, current, and trustworthy.
Establish governance standards for roadmap data (date confidence levels, field hygiene, update cadence) across all PMs.
Ensure the roadmap is complete, accurate, and easily accessible to key stakeholders.
Build reporting/dashboards giving leadership visibility into roadmap health and delivery risk via native Jira dashboards and new AI-built dashboards.
Collaborate with TPM and Implementation Managers to ensure release operations are delivering on our roadmap commitments to customers.
Work with technical communications, PMs, and Product Marketers to ensure that processes supporting release communications are completed in a timely manner IAW product release and launch timetables.
Driving Product Team Meetings & Engagement
Work with Product leadership to plan and facilitate team-wide events (e.g., product all-hands, onsites, monthly product reviews, etc.), handling logistics and coordination so the team can focus on the content and connection.
Own the function-specific onboarding experience for new product managers
Administratively support the product management leadership team.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Define and track metrics on Product team performance and process health.
Provide Product leadership regular visibility into capacity and process health.
Stay current on industry-leading Product Ops practices and AI-powered tooling.
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture.
Systems thinker — able to track a number of high-level views of work while still being able to speak to granular details.
Compulsive about removing process friction — you can't walk past a broken workflow without wanting to fix it.
AI-Native Architect - You don't just use AI; you fundamentally rethink workflows by replacing legacy manual steps with AI-driven, automated processes.
Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup environment where priorities shift and resourcefulness is essential.
Intense curiosity and dedication towards evolving daily product management practices through substantial industry evolution.
A natural partner to Product Management leadership — you measure your own success by how much more effective you make their team.
Bachelor's degree or higher
Minimum 5+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or similar roles within high-growth tech companies
Extensive experience with product management and collaboration tools:
Must have: Jira/Confluence, Claude (or other leading AI system)
Good to have: Jira Product Discovery, Cursor, Notion
Proven track record of implementing and optimizing product development processes, metrics frameworks, and operational systems that drive efficiency and quality
Experience with agile methodologies and the ability to adapt processes to fit different team needs while maintaining organizational alignment
Experience leading or actively contributing to a team's shift toward AI-native ways of working — identifying where AI genuinely changes the shape of a workflow versus where it's just noise, and helping a team adopt it with real discipline.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience influencing cross-functional teams and executive leadership
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Experience with resource planning, capacity management, and budgeting processes to optimize team efficiency and product delivery
Possess a strong data-driven approach to product operations having developed metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into product performance and team effectiveness
